TR Squad for Release..

4 MAX's
2 reavers
2 Hackers
Rest whatever you want

All have vehicle certs and some have flight certs.

Own. I saw 4 MAX + 2 Reaver TR squads take over bases and 4-5 VR squads in towers easy.

Consider this for retail outfit:
2 outfits.
'bwc lite' and 'bwc hardcore' or some such.
Not everyone likes playing a tight squad that follows orders without question and plays almost professionally. some ppl just wanna chill and have a good time in their own relaxed fashion. I think we have a lot of both types.
I'm really interested in both myself, though mostly the bwc hardcore.
This will alleviate some of the frustrations felt by everyone in our current attempts to be a jolly crowd while being serious about capping and working together.

maybe if there were a way for the squad leader's orders to be more visible, hardcore play is more fun. I mean, you're in the middle of doing something, command gives an order and its drowned out in various and sundry messages...

hrmm...sounds like a suggestion for the planetside team...

there's voice chat and Im sure you can block channels. there isn't a lot of spam in battle, unless you get a lot of chat garbage over your chat window. just saying, that's all =p

Doesn't getting higher up in the commander xp give some of these abilities? I know I read something about the ability to make a platoon or something, which was several squads that could share a line. I also thought a higher level commander to issue a different type of message as well.

I think there is something like this in game, or planned in game at least.

BTW, I hate the idea of splitting people up based on how much they play. Especialy if there is the multisquad group thing, and i KNOW I read about that somewhere. If they were in the various guilds previously, and are willing to play that way they group with us. If they are in a more relaxed/distracted mood, then they go off on their own that day.

I know we split the guild up Palo and I didn't really like it then. Dunno, I play these games to have fun with friends, and just am against the idea of splitting the friends based on playtime/commitment whatever. :)

the 4 max, 2 hack, and 2, reavers is a nice strat and all.. but removed the funfactor of the siege on a base.. it's basiclly like hitting the "i win" button to claim a town, i would perfer the skill tatic instead of the overpower tactic.

the TR max will get nerfed. just letting ya know that now.

me only issue is moving away from the battle long before it's done simply becuase we didn't take the hack for the cap. as a realm it's still our task to help defend if even if we don't get the overall xp from it.

with the newiest patch.. it fixed the staus on claims.. being that you don't have to be in the hackers group to get a nice chunk of BRxp and CRxp.

Also, Hacking... EVERYONE CAN HACK DOORS AND CC(CONTROL CENTER/FLAG/CAP) with your standard basic hack line.. EVERYONE has basic hack. it's a skill you get for joining the game. YOU DO NOT NEED A a.HACK to claim a tower.. it's very annoying being called to claim a unprotected tower when i'm currently pre-hacking the hell out of a pre-selected base.

this is how i see the ROLE OF A HACKER:
you tell him the location of a enemy parked veh(AMS/GAL/TANK/ETC) he hacks it and claims it. job one completed.
select a base in advance for him to make his long journey to(if he has no mosq cert) to get the prehack in. just becuase we are an a.hack does not mean i can claim a base in the matter of seconds. we have to crawl from the entrance all the way to the CC.. then crawl to the v.pad etc etc.. IT'S ALOT of CRAWLING.. Crawling pass turrets.. motion senors.. mines.. maxes.. reavers...mosq... players that are smart.. and start spaming DL. WE CANNOT just get up and go. RESPAWN timer is set to 40 seconds ATM.. thats almost a min where we can't speak. and yes.. we die..DIE ALOT.. so we will be for the most of the time silent.

SNIPERS:
yet another role i play. it's takes 5 mins to find a nice spot on the mountain top to begin to set my wave of destruction upon the world.. this is the probelm with being a hacker and a sniper. HACKER IS CLOSE COMBAT. SNIPER IS FAR FAR FAR AWAY. normally.. i don't leave my sniper camp until i have no more ammo left.. and if i parked a veh near.. it has a trunk full of more sniper rounds. once the battle is over.. then the sniper heads down off his high high hill.. and rejoins his collective.

so when i..and inf/a.hacker enters sniper mode.. it means i have gone the distance..and no longer within the range of the base.. for i am a sniper.. i track down the location of the enemy remote tower... or ams.. and begin to kill everyone that has a gun. if i'm camping over a base.. i will kill as many as i can to force the NCU level of the base to be depleted.. there are more ways to take a base then with brute force.


also i agree that the squad leader should take the task of being the gal/sun pilots.. so that he has total control of where and when the squad takes off.. i like to refer you to the TR strat which was made http://board.barbos.net/viewtopic.php?t=1242 thats basiclly it. NOT everyone has a veh cert.. Galaxy do not spawn at every base.. if a base is under seige.. it's hard to get a Veh out of it.. and even if you do get it out.. reavers and maxes tend to follow AMS's til the bitter end.
