So the past two nights, there hasn't been more than 4-5 people online from the Holy Rollers at any one time.
The 50's don't seem to be logging on since we can't form groups, and when one does log on, its usually for about 10 minutes, then they go play on their alt/watch TV/craft Macro (oops, thats me), or whatever.
Worse, quite a few of the lower levels just don't seem to be logging on at all. I know some people are waiting for the 40's to catch up, but they don't seem to be even on, and when they are, they are in the BGs.
Should we maybe be recruiting some? Or are people getting tired of DAoC already?

Like I said, not as worried about the people at 50 not being on, since I know they were busy.
Its just noticable that we used to have 18-20 people on weekends, and 12-14 on weeknights, and we're all of a sudden down to 4-5 on the weeknights, and maybe 10 on weekends.
I know personally I've done enough pugging in DAoC to last a lifetime, and was looking forward to running as a guild, but you need a certain minimum for that to happen.

Personally I think we need to recruit.
ATM I give the Rollers a 50/50 chance of surviving to even BEGIN RVR.
The 50's can't RVR together consistently because we have no Minstrel & not enough peeps to make a RVR group while we wait for the lowbies. We also have no Sorc other than Tiny. We absolutely have to have another sorc. Minstrel and Sorc are requirements to even think about trying to 8man, or 16man.
So people get in the habit of playing alts and on other servers to kill time while we wait. And we get into a pattern of someone logging on to see whats going on, they only see a couple of 50's, and they log onto an alt on another server. Meanwhile, someone else logs on, see's the same and does the same.
We also got a number of people ANON, which further gives the impression that no one is on.
You can't expect people to PUG forever, and you can't expect people to log on and sit around and wait for other people to log on when it's not guaranteed we'll do a guild group. And without the 50's having a blast that the lowbies want to join in on, that probably slows them down too. It's a viscious spiral man, and I hope we come out of it.
To me, the only solution is to increase guild size (or make more people hardcore which I don't know how you do that). If we don't consistently have enough people on to RVR, people aren't going to keep logging on, and the guild dies a slow death.
Come on Lowbies, push to 50!

There are a bunch of us in the mid 40's that were trying to farm Leirvik for a bit but we finally gave up and I think all of us are back leveling. I think there are at least 6 of us that will be 50 within then next 10 days.
/freelevel 46 tonight for Niko and I. Hang in there, we are coming!

Classes started today, and I was out and about getting books and whatnot for them yesterday.
I didn't log in the day before because I knew Kim wasn't going to be on, which, generally, would put us down to one Cleric by the time I got off work (9pm est, just going on the typical login/out times of the players, generally Holden isn't on that late, or much later, and Josh usually is on till between 11PM and 1AMish). With only one Cleric, a Sorc, myself and no Speed nor End, I deduced that Hall wouldn't be on, and without Hall on we don't have enough DPS to Tower Hump, and with three-four people we certainly can't roam.
What we are experiencing here is the stagnation of DAoC. This happens almost always on new servers, because people get bored PvEing and don't feel like getting their SC crap done, especially when they have better characters elsewhere (myself included, I could have logged in last night to farm cash for my MP armor, but I just didn't feel like PvEing for 5 hours, not to mention I have a class early on Tuesdays and Thursdays). The only way we are going to push through this is to either help the "lowbies" level faster, or merge with another guild that has a decent bit of 50s and "lowbies." It's going to be hard to just "recruit" people, especially level 50's because, generally speaking, we have only grouped amongst ourselves and fellow alliance guildmembers, and therefore we don't know many independant people out there. Once people start hitting 50 there will be more grouping options available to people within the guild, and from there they can invite outside the guild to fill missing spots, through those groups, both PvE and RvR we can do recruiting.
As it stands right now, we don't have enough people in the guild that actively play more than an hour or two a night to really recruit new people into the guild, imo. It's a crappy process, I know the "lowbies" are trying to level, and not all of them have the time available to them that some of the first few to 50 have had, but at this point in time I think it's imperative that they push to 50 so we can start to really RvR and even do higher level PvE (for template items) sooner.
It's great that people want to play in the BGs and I was all for it when there weren't many level 50s around, but at this point, at the rate the people aren't 50 yet are leveling, I'm afraid that by the time they actually hit 50, and get their gear ready for RvR, the opposition (and there is a freaking ton of it) will have us so outranked in RRs that most of them are going to be struggling to break into the rr4-5 area. The primary reason I'm concerned with this isn't because I think we won't be good enough to win, I think that the failures we will have (I would guess probably 60/40 against us, maybe 70/30 depending on us getting zerg'd and whatnot) at the beginning of our groups starting to RvR are going to discourage the people that are more casual. Those people, more likely than not, after not having had fun in RvR will either quit DAoC again, or they will go play their higher RR toons on whichever server they have them on.
I don't mind people taking a while to hit 50. A week, two more weeks, whatever, I understand that people don't have tons of time, and that leveling is boring. What I will mind, however, is that if after waiting for about 3 weeks to a month for the guild to catch up with us, half of them decide to quit a week after 50 because we lose more often than we win at the beginning, not due to the fact that we out played, but due to the fact that we are out RR'd.

Yeah, not trying to pressure people into playing more than they want, thats no way to do it, since its just a game, and should play and have fun.
Was only a bit disturbed by the fact that the numbers went WAY down really fast, and was trying to feel out whether it was just because people got busy, or because they got bored.

I was on last night but didn't feel like playing much on my alt cabalist. But I did play on Merlin a bit and made 10K rps in a hour of rvr with Raighne (they have an alb group on Lamorak) and caught up with some old friends. I was sleeping at 7:30 my time because I was tired from previous nights.
My cabalist is 31 now and I can group with low 40 people and do kill tasks for a couple hours so they can ding (like I did from 40-45).
However, my schedule will be kinda wacked out in September. I'm being placed onto another project at work...
