Ting, when you were powerleveling and playing multiple toons at a time, I assume you only used one input device for all of the pbaoers. How did you set this up. Did you use a program to capture input from one device and send it to the other computers and replicate that keystroke over there or did you physically share an input device between the computers (like a nostromo or something).
Curious as to how the master was setup.

Not sure how Ting did it, but a friend and I did something on a smaller scale, with him running 2 SMs and the shaman, and me running an SM and a pac healer.
He had a 3rd party application that "duplicated" key strokes from one machine to the second one on the network. It ran over IP and could even be done on the internet, but was a bit laggy with the latency that way. It was pretty flexible that he could turn it on and off w/ keystrokes.
I know "Team Wizzy" apparently just uses a single wireless keyboard, and sets each receiver on all his PCs to the same frequency, so more of a hardware solution.
Personally, for when I'm running an "active" bot type char, I use the Nostromo N52. Works nice since I just set the pad beside my "main" chars keyboard. I used more macros on Mid/Merlin, with one to cast Celerity every 30s, another to /target and do all the buffs automatically, etc. Its nicer then having to flip between 2 keyboards.

I use a nostromo as well when im dual playing, but was more curious as to how you handle 5 accounts at once. I was reading the article on team wizzy and people were talking about sharing one wireless keyboard across multiple computers, which seems like a decent hardware solution. Im curious as to how you get one keyboard to work with 3 other recievers though.
I guess if you bought 3 wireless keyboards of the same type and only used one keyboard with 3 recievers you could pull this off. Still confused how you get the 3 computers to recognize one computer.

Well, there are a couple ways:
1) Sync all the receivers together to the same channel.
2) Connect one receiver to a USB hub and each computer to the hub.
#2 might even work for wired USB keyboards, not really sure.

Thanks Augo. I really like #2 better than dealing with the wireless setup. Im a wired kinda guy and being able to disconnect one comp from the setup easily is more to my liking.
This is assuming I ever do anything like this.
Do you think connecting a Nostromo GamePad to a USB hub then connecting the other computers to the hub would work as well?

Hrm from what im reading USB does not support two computers accessing one device through a hub. Or am I wron gabout that?

Hmm, no, I think you are right.
It might be mod-able. I know I have a KVM switch that "fakes" a keyboard connection when the switch is set to another PC.
Could still do the same thing with a wireless keyboard if you found some older uni-directional ones, since it would have no way of telling what it was sending.
Time for google to find out

Ya, I've been googling all day on this. It does sound like using a single keyboard with multiple recievers does work as long as you get all 3 computers working on the same channels for the keyboard. Its a shame because I was liking your idea about the USB.

I just IM'd my friend who ran the 2 SMs, he's busy playing WoW w/ Conquest, so he'll probably get back to me in 12 hours when those addicted bastards logoff, but I'll try and find out the app he used to control both SMs at once.
