I'll be there. I've never played a character above 35 in alb. This oughtta be fun. I'll probably make a cleric or an armsman.

Been there done that for 3 freaking years on Mid. We all have. Why do the same again? Change of pace will be nice.

I've still got my shaman, and he's already been TOA'd so no grind left. If I want to run in a mid gank group I can just go on Merlin and hook up with old friends there. There is no incentive for me to go mid. I will miss the snow though.

...If I might make a suggestion for the mid guild? Make it an all shorty guild, only dwarves and kobolds allowed. ;)

That's the message I've been trying to get across the entire time this Mid or Alb arguement has been going on. I have all my ToA done on my Merlin toons with the exception of a few MLs that are only moderatly important, and that's on my Skald, everything is done on my Savage. If I wanted to do an 8 man Mid gank group all I would need to do is jump on my Savage and find 7 other people that used to play Merlin with optimal classes (which wouldn't be hard with the number of players we had on Merlin). There's no point in redoing Mid from scratch for me. All the classes I wanted to play I did, and I have enough money on Mid to buy whatever I want to finish off a min/max template, so why bother even starting over? By the time a full group of Mids levelled on the new server I would already have everything done on my Merlin toons and be RvRing. Just doesn't seem to make sense to do it all again to me I guess /shrug.

I've played

Alb/Lance for a Year
Mid/Merlin for a Year
Hib/Pellinor for a Year

I do think hibs have the best utility for a 8-man but will be HELLA fotm.

Mids are my second choice

and well......albs are albs.

I would still be playing my mids now if it wasn't for TOA. Now I have my chance to do it and have fun again.

Done with WoW and I can't stomach looking at DAOC again even though the new servers actually look good.

Daminion's (from COE Palo) BF1942 clan are already full swing in BF 2.

Good fun ppl if any DoG's are interested...

/agree Winke

Hibs have hands down the best utility (period).

Especially in a non-ToA environment. You guys will dominate equal # fights guaranteed.

Shit if you go hib I would consider rolling a chanter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell I'll dual again.

Only time we snagged all 6 relics was hib/palo with waffle and the old Hiro gang ... shit that was a long fun night.

That's exactly what all the little kiddies say too though. There's no fun if there's no challenge. And I'm not talking about 8man vs normal pugs, that's just shitty group balance on their parts, but when you play a realm because you know it's going to be vastly superior to the other realms in the playstyle that you are looking for, then you are sucking the challenge out of the game, making it boring as shit. At least, that's how it is imo. I wouldn't be able to stand winning 99% of my fights because my group setup is just totally superior to the groups the opposing realms can make, therefore making skill at playing the classes less important for the vast majority of the fights.

fighting 3fg and winning = challenge and fun

fighting 8vs8 = Best Utility Wins. It's not a challenge when u loose all the time. It's imbalance.

I agree about Hib. I have been on Palo trying to reacquaint myself with DAoC...amazing how much shit you forget when you play WoW :P . Anyway, been doing the Leirvik thing with my ranger...fucker owns hard. Got bored with that and tried the old gimp champ (still in epic, no ToA). I was soloing reds and light purples with my self buff. Go alb...should be fun.
