jack of all trades is a sham from reading through the forums? i'd like a class that is wanted in groups for xp and pvp and which also takes skill to play, like a minstrel (pre-nf)

any pbae type of grp possible to help the grind?

Spec isn't a factor in WoW unless you are referring to talents, in which case you are going to have to go to the WoW forums for talent builds. Typically if you are going into an instance dungeon to exp and farm items, you will need at least 1 Warrior, 1 Mage, and 1 Priest. Generally it is good to fill the other two spots in with a second mage/damage dealer (Rogue/Hunter if they ever make them do good enough damage) and a secondary healer/damage dealer (Druid, Pally, Shaman). I think that if you have a good Warrior, Priest, and Mage however, that you can pretty much get away with whatever extra classes, as long as they are played well.
