Tingtong wrote:Exactly my opinion law. I would suggest picking a Lower Population server and Going from there. I think BWC will land on it's feet where ever we go. But I would say Keep an eye on where the big Zerg Leet Guilds of Doom. They are the epitome of all that is wrong in MMO's. Their Command & Conquer Playstyle at whatever cost takes the fun out of playing........ yes... playing a game. It's fun to Win, but it's also fun to loose. These guilds don't know how to loose and that's what really destroys a server from the beginning.

and thats all i got to say about that...

I'm not sure about FoH or CoS, but I'm not sure I would be concern'd with CQ. As far as I've ever seen they powerlevel to cap, then kill everyone while they are still lowbies, and then leave once the general population of people that have PvP'd since they started catch up and provide an actual challenge.

Also remember, there will be different regions, I'm not sure what you guys will be playing on, but I know for sure my friends and I will be playing on US East.

I am not really too thrilled about playing on a PvP server. If we do I sure hope that we have enough people on at most times to group up with. It gets pretty hard to do quests on the PvP server solo. At least this has been my experience.

Before we make a decision I say let's see how the battlegrounds on the regular servers are implemented. For those that don't know the battlegrounds will be where the PvP takes place for the regular servers.

I just don't care much for being ganked by someone 20 levels higher than me. I know blizzard has stated there will be things in place to minimize this happening but it will still happen.

Just remember the regular servers will have PvP too.

You know, I just had a thought. 5 person groups bothered me at first, but now, it may make more sense. Often times with 8 man groups in BWC DAOC, you would have one UBAR group, and one so so group. With 5 person groups, the guild could possibly field 3-4 solid groups together for raids or pvp. So one group will not and cannot have the best xp group.

This doesn't mean we have to run 3-4 groups for PvP. But it does help if we have a slow time lvl'ing/PvP'ing in WoW. Less people to make a decent group.

I have never been an enthusiast of the more obscure holidays like “Groundhog Day.” This type of holiday made more sense long ago when Doppler radar was not available and faith in groundhogs was stronger.

Also less people to focus on healing (as a healer).

The major problem with 5 person groups is that, typically speaking, a Healer, a Warrior and a Mage are required for any group to succeed in any particularly hard/equivalent level instances and probably good PvP. Basically what this means is that people don't get to play what they want as much, because if they don't want to be a Priest/Warrior/Mage, then a "strong" group will only have two slots for them. A second healer is always nice, as is another good strong DPS class, but you will have a hell of a time trying to do instances without a good taunt bot, or without a mage that can sheep/ae and conjure water. Going without a priest (or at least SOME type of healer) is just dumb period.

I dunno, Rogues, Mages, and battle spec'd Warriors are all insane DPS. Personally, I think I'm going to be an undead warlock.
