Drop The Bomb Shell NF Style
no we cannont bind there =( i tried, but we can release house when needed. and load your vualt up with rams/trebs.
in a claimed tower, once you have the hook points, you can set up a NPc vualt, in which you can reload rams from.

"Why bind there Josh? Just means you have to run back to border keep each time you die... why not just use the house merchant?"
there is a teleport stone in each relic town. what we need to do is get the people that own bled and anyother fort that can have a siege merchant to put one up. that will make it easy to resupply in the middle of a fight, without having to spend an extra 5 minutes running to your house or to a town. and whats the deal with the dimunitative siege boxes? i have a tailor with 800 skill and she cant make them. im probably going to get on gardill, make about 50 of them, and put them in my housevault. i need to know how they work though, is it just a onetime use deal, or can you put various siege in the same box, i didnt beta frontiers on pend because i figured i would beta it enough on merlin.

You can bind at Upp or Vind. Same thing. Yor right at a Porting stone so no big deal.
As for losing stick all the time...it's the lag. I agree some people aren't familiar with NF yet. But the lag is a killer. Our guild for the most part, ahs never had a prob with sticking and sprinting. But add the lag to it, and its a whole new ballgame.

I believe each box is a one time use. I don't have a crafter up to 800 skill yet so I don't know for sure. But from what I've read each 'box' requires you have the base siege engine already built or at least all it's components plus the ingredients needed for the box, probably some extra wood is all. Then you craft the box and once you 'use' the box, a siege engine is built and the box is gone.

OK I looked into diminutive ram seige recipe and it calls for :
all the parts to make a ram
+
1 flask of glacial essence (which i can make as alchemist)
and 1 frosted gem of condensation
Is this gem something a spell crafter has to make? If so I will make a bunch of the glacial essence and drop them in guild vault for general use. Or is it something I can make and was just too dumb to find it on my recipe bar.

it supposedly takes 900 crafting skill, a 400 skill alch pot, and a 400 skill sc gem, so im guessing thats the sc gem. i have an lgm AC i can use to make some boxes, but ill have to find all the shit i need and a place i can do it, and depending on how much it costs i might not be able to make too many, im pretty poor.

just a few things i noticed trying to take towers tonight:
1) raid leader needs to communicate better with his/her participants, there were several times he said he would be xxx place, or go to xxx place, and then changed it without warning. if you decide to change your assult destination, everyone has to know, its a MUST.
2) make sure you can set up and move a ram beforehand. i doubt we would have gotten the tower we were at anyways, but the ram was 5 feet from the door for a solid 3 minutes.
3) use distractions via archers, assassins, various groups with ranged siege/attacks. every tower you hit, in melee or from range, will start to burn. if you have an archer start attacking a crauch tower and another attack a bolg tower, then your raid starts to attack a behnn tower, they have a 33% chance to find your real raid on their first try. we need to start thinking outside the box with our attacks, we used to be good because we could bumrush a keep with 3 rams and have it down before people could run out to us, with the way keeps are working now there is no way to do that, the instant teleportation system is too good for defensive measures, these towers have to go down insanely fast if we ever plan on taking a keep. once we get the distraction deal down, and start to get better/faster at taking towers, we can use the distractions and attempt to take two different towers from various keeps at the same time so they not only cant port to the keep we are at, but they cant port to the keep closest to it either.
4) we need to practice this stuff on keeps that are relatively hard to access, and then work to the easier ones as we become better. its totally frustrating and horrible on moral to spend 30 minutes rallying, getting somewhere, and going down because we are attacking a tower thats just simply too hard to take because the supply chain isnt broken. towers in the mountains as well as towers in ruins are a great place to start. once we are apt at doing those we can move to harder things. we just dont want the alliance losing its faith because hibs and albs can take towers, but it seems like most of the time we try we cant, and we just end up getting farmed.
5) i think we should use the calendar to set up keep sieges similar to master level events. taking keeps isnt going to be an easy thing anymore, i would rank it up there as almost being as difficult as taking a relic was before NF, we need to plan it, and i think we should plan something for this weekend (even though i probably wont be around much to see it as family is comming into town).
6) siege teams -ESPECIALLY ram teams- we need to make them, if you time the attack right on the ram you not only increase the damage done by the ram, you also reduce the time it takes for the ram to swing a second time, we need people that are paying attention with decent (i say decent because its really not hard at all to tell when to hit the button) to run the rams, we should try to get a set team, and have them do it at our early tower sieges so they can get the ram up and working asap. we need to spend the 30 minutes before we start to go for towers to get the siege we need for it. i plan on making some of those siege boxes once i check out how i can make them, i will put some in the guild house and some in my own house, but the amount i make totally depends on the cost to make, im not rich, and i still need to SC/alch and get armor for my skald. im not sure what siege is best to carry around, so whatever suggestions are welcome, players should try to get used to using and becomming skilled with at least one piece of siege equipment. siege is going to win frontiers, because numbers are now an instantaneous thing.
