well story of my life :P

In my 26 years i've had a lot happen to me so i'll try to make the short of it. I was adopted and when i hit about the age of 13 i was sent to an all girls boarding school because as my mom said "she couldn't handle me" so i grew up in a school system way far away from my folks and the rest of the world out there. When i finally graduated back in 96 that was about the time of the raver scene in florida hit it big. I went to my first rave did alot of drugs and continued that for close to a year. I joined the military cleaned up my act almost got married, then sustained an injury to where i had to be discharged. After i was discharged i met my current boyfriend johnny who litterally saved me from going back to the dying out raver scene at that point. We moved into gether and started from scratch. I bought my first computer about 99 and i saved every penny i could for it. Then i went to school for computer graphics and design and graduated. I now have a job with comcast answering the phones :) (and no i don't put the degree to use)

A little about me :)

I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. I come from a bi-racial family. My father is caucasian and my mother is Korean. So it was a pretty interesting childhood. When I was 2 months old, my mother took me to Seoul to be with her grandmother, so my mother could take care of her, as she was slowly dying of cancer. Her grandmother died right before I hit 1 years old and we moved back to the US.

My father was in the military so we moved around a lot. I lived in Hawaii for a year. When I was 4 years old, we moved to Australia in Alice Springs (aka the desert). I grew up thinking Santa Claus wore Hawaiian shirts because it was over 110 degrees F during Christmas :P

Moved back to the US when I was 6 and remained in Sacramento.

I guess I was a good kid. I had like 2 boyfriends total in high school. I never went to proms or many dances. It was sort of weird though. I was on the cheerleading squad, student government, and newspaper but guys would never ask me out mostly they thought I was too busy (like organizing decoration for dances or coordinating pep-rallies) or a lesbian which I'm far from that. Heh oh well to those guys.

So I went to CSU Sacramento. I hated the Greek scene there. I found my niche hanging out with the poli-sci people. I had the most in common with them. I joined up with CA Young Dems organization--let me tell you the real parties there. We would travel to UC Santa Barbara for a "conference" and it would be a 3-day long party with sex, kegs and rock and roll. Same thing at UCLA and Berkeley. I remember attending CA Democratic Party function in San Jose and every candidate running for an office would throw a "get together" for the young people. We were hardcore partying with people sniffing in the bathroom (these people were working for Gov. Gray Davis) and getting drunk and yelling off the balconys, that 1/2 of us got kicked from the Fairmont hotel at 3 am. Then I get a job at the Dem National Committee (a summer internship) to work at their LA convention in 2000. It was a 7 day party basically but with more money, movie studios and people around the US. It was like get up at 5 am, recover from hangover, drink more, work on network a computer (I was on their technology team), drink, go to hospitality suite drink more and by 3 am rolls around its bed time till 5 am again. Between all that I was working for the State Controller as a legislative aide.

I met Jeff 6 months before I went to the DNC. He provided sanity in my life. I didn't know if I could go on with dealing that sort of dirty environment any longer. So after the DNC Convention I started to re-evaluate my situation on why I was in that environment where sex, lies and corruption only gets you positive results. I remember as a legislative aide begging someone in Senate Appropriations committee by personally handing them their State tax refund check if they would "pass" a bill for my boss that had nothing to do with state funds. They held it in that committee cuz all bills that affected my boss were held up because of some stupid political feud. So I just had enough of it and got out of that environment.

Jeff helped me heal out of that stress. He said I'm 200x more calm now than back then. I join up with a local consulting team, while finishing college. I was able to do a bit of travelling, stay home and work on projects, and create new projects and products. I was basically consulting to Chiropractic offices around the US and helping Drs. hire staff, training staff when they purchase my manual on being a Chiropractic Assistant. :P My boss had to close down her business a few months ago because she suffered a stroke and couldn't function with too many things in her life. I understood that. So I spent months looking for a job and you guys helped me along the way :) I thank you guys for that really. Now I just got hired on with Verizon as a coordinator in their Business services division and work with a team of 20.
The message buck stops here.

Guess its time for me to spill a bit about myself

Well my name is Mike and I'm a 25 year old Network Admin/Systems Admin from New England and have lived most of my life in Plymouth MA. You know, home of the Pilgrims, Thanksgiving, and all that historic shit. I have a identical twin brother and a sister thats four years younger. My parents married when they were in their early 20's and are still together to this day, which is a feat unto itself in todays world.

I had a pretty standard childhood, except for being a twin. From the first day of kindergarden through middle school kids treated me and my brother differently. Between the two of us, we've heard every twin joke/jab/question there is and being a good student didn't really help matters much. Because of that, I'm pretty thick skinned and I think I'm a better person because of it. High School was normal though and I graduated with respectable enough grades to get into my first choice of schools. Around this time I met a girl that changed everything. Our relationship wasn't the best and no one was suprised when we broke up, but her getting pregnant wasn't part of the plan. I left school to work full time to help support her as well as myself. At the time I was working for a local ISP doing tech support and it was a pretty good gig. My daughter was born Feb 16 1999 and my life hasn't been the same since. She is the light of my life and people often ask me if I could do things differently would I? No chance in hell.

As far as work goes, I mentioned that I was working for an ISP. Well I worked there for over 2 years and was let go over some "personality" conflicts I had with the manager. From there I went to work for a Microcrap sub contractor doing support for Win2k and I got my MCSE. I was there 6 months before Microsoft pulled the contract and I floated from PC repair place to repair place before I landed at Lycos. Man, that job ruled. Great hours, great pay, and I got to sit on my ass 6 hours a day and get paid for it. The dot.com crash came and went and I survived the first round of layoffs in 2001, but got shitcanned in 2002. Spent the next year collecting unemployment until I got a job at Verisign doing network security.

As far as my videogaming background, I had an atari 2600 when I was 8 years old and that was the end of it. I have been an avid gamer since. My DAoC days started while I was at Lycos. My boss was an EQ freak and a officer in DoD (Dealers of Death) on some server I forget. He was going to Mid/Bedevere, so being the smartass I often am IRL I went to Hib/Bedevere so I could kick his ass. I started with Emerald Circle where I met some current Nature's Fury (Midnight Fury here) members, Atlas, Soldado, Ellessar, and a few I can't remember. They were good to me, but I got sick of the early guild drama, deleted and went with my boss on Mid. Server pop dropped, my boss quit to go back to EQ, so I decided I was gonna move to a higher pop server and ended up on Hib/MLF. Here is where I joined HoS and met Cele (you are and will forever be the only "Battle Bard of MLF" lol), Liader, and a few other players. Soon, the guild drama would hit again, and the exodus began to other servers. I stayed on MLF for a while looking for a home til I caught wind that some of my good HoS buddies were on Mid/Merlin. I moved here and I'm happy to that I did. I joined BWC soon after hitting 50 on Nese and the rest is history.

Thats my RL story and I'm sticking to it.

PS - Supreem PM me, I have a few contacts at Iron Lore Entertainment and Turbine here in MA if your looking to get into PC game developement.

So I broke down and got some time from work to be able to finally write this. I know everyone is waiting.

Where do I start?

Well I grew up in an Oil family and moved everywhere.
Lived in Alaska, Saudi Arabia, but mostly Texas.
Grew up in Houston, the Klein/Spring area (NW), and had a fun overprotected childhood. So upon reaching the age of 16, I became the devil with my new car, a convertible 1989 4 runner.

Here is a site of age 16-21 of all my excerpts, Jeep, 4 runner, Cobra, and boat. As you can see I like to have fun. Mind you these pics are 7-10 years old. I am 28 now. http://www.prismnet.com/~dwayne

I started with computers and games at a young age, my first comp at 12 was a IBM AT 16 mhz, then a PC jr, then a 486, with a 1 mb HD!!!

I went to college at UT in Austin, but never went to class, setup weekly parties, Super Tecmo Bowl Tourneys, Doom Tourneys, etc and begun my social director career. I also got into the internet age of bandwith and wires, security,

I got into gaming very fast, from pirating BBS's to the first Doom winner in my dorm in UT. By the age of 18, I started my first ISP, and by the age of 20, dropped out of school ( was studying CS and RTF at the same time), and grew my company to a Web shop and ISP for Texas, 5 offices and 33 employees. In another year, USWeb/CKS bought my company, and I was off the big time consultancy gig. Employee #4 I was (Yoda), and with the managing partner of the office, we grew the office to over 100 people in 2 years.

After that and 45 acquisitions, I got involved with the game of Asheron's Call very heavilyand met some great people. I built the biggest guild, www.thechosenonez.com, over 11,900 people on the server FrostFell called the Chosen Ones, amazing stories there. I played that for about 2 years, and then left USWeb/CKS after the company of 10k people was going downhill.

I decided to join a marketing agency as a VP/Marketing Director in SF called Digitas, and lived there for 4 years. That's where I begun DAOC, and the life we all live now of MMPORG. There were some days I wouldn't even go into work and play the game ALL night long, and then not even sleep. That was very bad. Went from Hibernia Palomides and formed one of the biggest alliances of Crann Amhain in the first year of the game. Then moved to Albion Guinevere, and helped with Vigilance there, then off to Andred, and Hibernia Lancelot, and in between BloodWinter Clan of Midgard Merlin, and been here ever since. After SF, I had to move back to the fun and sun of Austin, especially the ladies. After all I saved a ton of money for my baby, my M3:

http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/coolsa ... yahoo.com/

Here I am now in Austin, back on the lake, enjoying life, the way it should be. I currently work for Frog Design (frogdesign.com) as a Program Manager, and its a good job. Pays for my toys :).

Im an avid sports fan: mainly basketball and football, college is the best, on the lake wakeboarding EVERY day, and very heavy into cars and racing as told before. With that, partying is #1, whether its at my lake house, our pool/hottub, out on 4th Street and the rows of bars/club and ALL the LADIES, or the boat in the cove with all the peeps. With all of that, and trying to workout/run 4-5 times a week, DAOC has been hard to play. I am sure with NF though, it will take some more of my time back from all the playing :)

Now you know more about me. Maybe too much.

I'll be posting more pics of the fun, Vegas, and other stuff in a matter of days once I get them all done.

hall comes to us right out of quaint little mexico, he sleeps next to buildings with big hats on his head, or he eats burritos all day. he likes to say DAoC words irl, and enjoys quiet walks on the beach. he yells at people on the phone while his TS is voice activated, and is then somewhat embarassed when he comes back, then proceeds to explain how his brothers wife (gf?) needs a kick to the face. and he can be yours for the stunningly low price of $9.99 (plus shipping and handeling)!
