BF 1942 Amusing me

I'm hoping RVR expansion renews my interest in DAOC but until then exploring a few other games.

Some old friends from Hib/Palo (Daminion/Pearin and others) are hard-core BF 1942'ers (http://www.theunmanageables.com/) with their own dedicated servers. I hated the beta but grudgingly picked it up last week.

I've played single player for about 3-4 days now to get the controls down ... man what a total blast. I'm going to try my first online duty this week with the clan.

Anyways just wanted to say two thumbs up for this title and if any BWC'ers or alliance want to hang with Daminion and crew drop a line on unmanageables general forum.

An old friend of mine was telling me about BF 1942 and it sounded pretty cool. It's still fairly new eh? So it'll still be $49.95?

Think it's been around for a bit (like 6+ months) so it was about $59 CAD which is probably about $40'ish USD.

I find it a ton of fun ... getting myself up to speed on the controls on the single player maps atm then will hit some online fun.

Vietnam or Original BF?

I picked up UT2004 i play that DAOC and Desert Combat

a fking magnificient mod for original BF1942 name is

DC is the only real reason to play BF1942 and it took a few hits in the last patches. If you like those games I would also recommend Call Of Duty. So far UT2k4 is the best shit out for quick and dirty fun.

Original BF1942, long thread on their general boards about Vietnam and it's current shortcomings so clan isn't switching yet.

I need to checkout those mods and perhaps UT2004.

After playing primarily mmorpg's for the past few years it almost feels like a feature that I can play a game, enjoy it and pause/switch it off when I feel like it

a good MMORPG

since the higher levels get a little slow sometimes...
the FPS is fun with no online subscription
....I did sell my BF1942 though...
Maybe I'll get HL2.....*sigh*.... I played a pirated piece on my friends comp....old but FREAKIN COOL
