GL, he has left before for the same reasons and I talked him into one more shot. He is a great guy but just seems to need something different. Very fun to game with I agree and will be a huge loss. Hes a top notch gamer for being on as little as he is at times.

I don't think people here really understand.
I will ask you the same questions that he asked me.
What is the meaning of being in a guild?
Why are you in a guild?
What does the guild do for you?

Look at your answers. If they don't match what BWC is giving you, why are you in BWC. That was the conclusion he had. BWC was not meeting what he wanted/needed from the guild. So much that he leveled a brand new character to 50 (only Lubu and I helped him). Beyond that even most of his newly acquired relics are at 10 with little help from BWC (only Phineas).

Is BWC a good guild, yeah sometimes it is great with very organized leadership. However, other times it is a greed driven machine that focuses on the ME rather than the WE.

in all honesty, i cant agree more with this statement. the perfect example are the recent ml raids that have been going on. we can be down 6 keeps and people wont suicide to help in the frontiers. no problem, we get our asses beat for 4 hours, then finally get it under control, and around that time they are finally distroing loot. then a few of us are burnt out on getting owned, and ask for help with something, a good example is a few people lately asking for help doing artifacts (sup wanted help with SoM, aens with EoY, rolo GoV, and i wanted help with CoZ) and people are like, nah weve been pveing all day lets go to alb, thats total bullshit imo.

I play in guilds to be familiar with the same people. I find it adds to gaming greatly; as well as granting competitive edge. I can tell you what keeps me around BWC is the relationships. Myself, Bulor, Warcat and the others in WoW missed our crew more then we missed DAoC while we were gone. BWC has these current problems -

1) DAoC is a stale game. Our core membership is all over the place. People have played Lance, Gwin, Merlin, Mordred, L2, WoW alpha, SWG etc. all in the past 6 months much less what has happend over the last 2 years. I can't seem to drag myself back to the game and think everyone should do whatever it takes to have fun, including server jump...but you cannot expect fragmented leadership to stay as solid as new game leadership. All guilds suffer natural attrition of membership.

2) Too large - This guild has leveled, twinked, sold more toons over the course of the last 2 years then I could even venture to guess. We have members here with 7-8 alts (no joke). One of the reasons is membership splits off, fragments and then the guild recruites to fill in the gaps and then when people return you get the big clusterfuck.

There are always problems in guilds but very few peopl have any salutions. Being in a guild is give and take and alot of BWC is at a point in their lives were gaming is just that. We like to game together and that is why we stick around..
