ML5 Quarrel with Lania

this is rather an unimportant threat for most people. Its about a personal fight at a ML5 raid. Normally I hate to do those things since they always get out of hand, and at the end there is only a useless flame war.
This is about me "kicking out Lania" out of the raid.

Now reading the logs, I come to the conclusion:
1) There is a misunderstanding
2) I might have made a hard remark
3) Lenia was kinda overreacting

Basically our raid was going so so. We had lots of people afk w/o saying and instead of the planned 3h, we were already heading hitting 5-6h, due to people not listening.

The quarrel happened at the fountain step in ML5 Dungeon.
I was in full group with 2 healers, one of them AFK and dead. We moved camp and for some reason Lania thought we leaving him behind and wrote something like this:

"riighht"
"I am done"
"Talk about the biggest bullshit"

Those line were directed to our GL/raid leader Melanch, about not being happy with how raid is being lead. Melanch being a RL friend of mine, and willing to lead this raid (and leading raids is a bitch), I felt he was being treated unfairly harsh. In response to his comments, I wrote a rather harsh statement

"You leaving, or Melanch needs to kick you?"

I must point out, that commend was written only b/c he wrote "I am done". Since it seemed to me he wanted to "punish" us for being sucky, I didnt want him to give the feeling that he is punishing us. So I wanted to "diffuse" his commend. Also trying to remind him if he really wants to leave a raid that was about to do the last step? If he wasnt overreacting?

Tthis commend wasnt meant seriously. In no time did I really want Lania to be kicked. I was merely reflecting on his commend "I am done", meaning he leaving now since leadership sucks. Checking the logs, this is the only line that I regret, BUT

to my defense, reading further the notes:
After we exchanged some aggresive (but not insulting) remarks, business went on as usual. Talks about buffing and so on and so on....so I figured, this guy got mad, he is staying after all, so everything was fine. No one in group thought of anything..

About 2-3min Lania either dropped or went into lava on purpse w/o any warning like "so you seriously want me to leave raid?". Nothing..after couple mins of regular fighting he just left. All in group were surprised! Everyone in group was like "wth?". This is important since it was only Lania that thought I really kicking him.

Then Vorund (I am guessing friend of Lania) started cussing me. Instead of cussing back, I put him on ignore, since I was there for the ML raid and not for getting into a flame war. Vorund was in Rage.

Vorund stayed until end of raid, till we failed at final encounter. To my knowledge no one else left the raid or talked to me about this incident other than Vorund.

One more thing I want to point out.
At now point did I claim that BWC was leading anything. Actually it was quite clear that Melanch was leading this raid. It seems to be that the "accusers" are making that link to put pressure on me.

How we go on?
Well, I do admit that my commend was a bit hard at that point, but again, I was responding to his statement "I am done" "This is total bullshit".

I repeat again, in no way did i ever want anyone , including Lania to leave the raid. And looking at the screenshots, Lania and I were just fighing mobs with group normally until all the sudden she fell or cided into lava.
If it is any consilidation. We failed twice at final encounter, so she didnt miss out on anything.

I am apologizing to Lania for that harsh remark that was taken a lot more seriously that I expected. To Vorund, I understand that you felt that your friend was being treated badly, and that you wanted to stand up for him. No hard feeling on my part. We were all heated up a bit.

So, couple hours after that incident, I tried to contact Vorund and Lania, but they were not online to sort it out with them.

Normally I hate those kinda discussions. Seen enough off that on IGN. But for some reason people are mad at BWC (knowing all the facts?) for a raid that was lead by BWC?

Personally, cant we just admit that Lania and I were both at fault, forget about this, do our ML raids and kick hib and alb butts? Trust me, it wasnt easy to write this threat, but I did it so we can get over it and do the fun stuff.

I will promise to be more careful about such remarks, and keep in mind that some people take things more serious than I would (this is not supposed to sound like an insult).

Well, I would welcome Lania to contact me in game, and I am sure we can work something out.
As a repeat, Lania in a way should thank me, we didnt get final step done so he saved lots of time.

not to be rude but.. we all pretty much see this game as a game, and if ppl are mad at us as a guild.. who the hell cares.. we will just take some more keeps, and keep farming for RP =)

couple hours after this happened, celes sent me a tell, wanted to know what happened, and not very happy with what happened. She said that some folks were sending her tells that they never join a BWC raid again (again, this wasnt even a BW raid), and that I have been mass kicking people and talking down to them (i am not quite sure on this, but that is what I gathered from Celes questions).

Again, there was no Mass kicking. Only Lania left. At least one guild mate stayed for the remainder of the raid w/o any complications. The other mate Vonund left 1-2 hours after the incident after we wiped at Final Mob. Well, one of those two guys I guess was heating up all their friends to "threaten" BWC not to ever join a BWC raid again.

So, in order to stop any image loss to BWC, I posted this threat to get my side of the story.

Personally, I just want to forget about this. Lania lost nothing (we didnt finish encounter), it clearly seems to have been an misunderstanding with both sides acting little headless, and we should concentrate on more important things. I am hoping that Lania and Vonund and the others that were "complaining" (I dont know their names since they complained straight to Celes), asccept my peace offer and we move on.

Just trying to put things back on the floor. It is ironic, but true,

Lania profited from this whole thing since we failed at last step TWICE!
I got to bed at 4am Euro time, while Lania I am sure was having some fun elsewhere. Nonetheless, I do not expect a "Thank you", just saying...

I am sure no one cares, but just for the record.

Idea of this threat was to tell Lania and Vorund to come here and read it.

But for the lsat couple days i have been trying to contact them both, and they never on, although i check multiple times daily....

I guess they not on much, so its a good idea to delete this threat and forget about this. I can only apologize to people that are on.

I love and miss you guys to, was seriously thinking about coming back to Merlin to play rather than just to pay rent, just dunno.

Would appear that with Drutt gone that perhaps much of the drama on Merlin has left as well.

I have a healer on Tristan [soooooooo many nice players there] and she has 3 artifacts already.

The sad part is on either Merlin or Tristan I havent done squat for ML's yet. I am teh suq.
