tires
go to Tirerack.com and ask them.
For my car Pirelli's kind of suck because of the insane road noise. It is really up to the buyer on a lot of issues though. Tirerack is a good source for info and you don't have to buy from them.

You tell me.
atm running close to 365 hp total, 320 to rhwp.
Raced a Z06 corvette from Dallas to Austin this weekend, did trip in about 2 hours, going 80-150 the whole way. Funtimes.
Michelin sport actually before better because of the groove positioning with rocks, stones, gravel, then completely slick like Pirellis do.

Bah I can't view that site at work =(
I am running 300 hp at the moment but mine is AWD for dirt with suspension to match. Currently my baby is in the body shop with 8-10k in damages though from some asshat running a red light and blindsiding my back door. I 100% sure I would blow you away in the dirt =) The wife holds the money though so changing out the up and down pipes has to wait. =(

still haven't seen it
Not afraid of an M3..shit i probably have crashed more BMWs than you have driven...OMG that is sad. I used to be a driver for BMW (not race) and pretty much did every car they have made including an M1. I love BMWs but they are RWD at the core for the sport models. AWD in the dirt will PWN you!! Especially if we hit a jump, I know my car can take it =).

bah God made dirt and dirt don't hurt!
That is why you don't see BMW in rally's..they will fall apart. BMWs are one of the best road cars though but they don't handle crashes well. I know from first hand experience. I have the dishonor and distinction of being the first ever person or dummy to crash the current 3 series BMW.
=(
Nothing like having the VP of BMW America tell you that you beat the dummy by 3 weeks.
