Are there buffbots in SWG?

Nope, there are only a few "buffs" in teh game. Most come from chef's, who can make food/drinks that buff. Outside of this, doctors get some abilities to buff stats, and squad leaders get some group enhancing abilities.

Bio engineers can make components that tailors/armorsmiths can then use to enahance cloths/armor, but thats more like spellcrafting.

This is a game where you can be a bit of everything unless you go something very specific and costly, bounty hunter being the only big limiter. All other professions allow enough wiggle room to pick up on some other skills you may want, like a bit of medic or scout or something.

dotn forget smuggler spices i think josey/mourningblade is maknig those on radiant. they basically give you a boost for 10 minutes or more and then your character starts puking etc
