Crystals/Thorium bars

Kim I am 300 herb/alchemy I would't want to drop Herb for mining and certainly can't drop alchemy since I have some uber potion reciepes. Alchemy is very dependant on Herbalism.

ok so aside from the scars in eastern plaugelands and the volcano in tanarus where is a good spot to find rich thorium

Burning Steppes is very nice for it assuming you are the only miner in the zone (highly unlikely unless you play in very off hours, late late/early early). The best place for Thorium imho is Silithus. I have (er, had since I don't use cosmos anymore) something like 26 Thorium nodes marked on my map, and that's just the north half of the zone. Unfortunately most of these nodes are located inside the hives with the elite bugs, and are the only rich thorium veins that I have ever had deplete after a single tap (not all the time, but it has happened a few times). That said, I got two large opals, one arcane crystal, one blue sapphire and about 80 thorium ores in about... an hour and a half there (which doesn't include the thorium that Chubz got before he left, as we were taking turns on mining).

Couple of rich thorium spawns in azersha, but it really helps to have good faction with the timbermaws there.

Also a static spawn inside the winterspring Chief's Gnoll camp (can't remember its name) and one around the lake just outside the main town in winterspring. (Also chest spawns around both these spots as well)

Other that those spots, I usually farm either noxious vale or fungal vale in E Plague. A static spawn of rich thorium and chests there, as well as chance for purple drops from mobs.

Also in western plague, there are 2 rich spawns inside hearthglen keep, one just inside walls around perimiter, the other in the bottom of the mine inside walls (need a couple people to farm this one). Also, there is an ooze filled dungeon on border with E plague that has a rich spawn as well.

These are where I have farmed crystals in the past. If you want more info, send me a tell in game and there's a 50/50 chance I won't ignore you

i should be able to mine thorium in a day , maybe 2. also know of 2 spots that have rich thorium vains in azshara (sp?) and a few limited vains in feralas.

but ill be needing them eventually, as im going master axesmith here, should have that done by the end of the week.

after i build myself an axe, i can start helping to supply thorium to who needs it.
