the difference between questing and grinding in wow is the amount of skill points gained. if you grind more you will get more skill points, and as a result of that your character will have more skills (weapon skills ie. mace/dualwield/fist) and will have better tradeskills. questing also ISNT the best way to level sometimes like people want to say. if you go get rested in an inn (200%gain/xp), you will get roughly 200-300 xp/kill at level 24, when a single yellow soloable quest at the same level will get you maybe 2k and take longer than killing 10 mobs. also, quest rewards are nice, but due to the amount of quests available for all the classes so everyone can level evenly, most of the time you are doing the quests just for the exp, i know ive done several quests just because i knew i could get a boost of xp out of killing mobs i was going to be killing and skinning anyways.

at this point, i enjoy wow pve and questing more than anything that was in daoc. i dont have to worry about getting radar assjamed by mobs, i dont have to run the same boring laps around emain all day, or take the same boring keeps all the time, endgame is another matter all together though as i have yet to experience it, there are tons of areas in all parts of the alliance that get attacked by horde daily on the beta server though, so i dont see how the pvp endgame is going to not exist (other than it may not be ideal: see mordred, classes balanced around pve/realms rather than small scale pvp/any pvp)
