Building/buying a new comp on the Cheap

Postby Eirene » Sun Apr 18, 2010 9:04 pm

Before I can play anymore computer games, I need to upgrade my computer. I don't think reformatting the damn thing would do anything.

So I'd like to build a new computer (first time ever) -- on the way cheap.

I have a decent dell laptop for browsing the Internet and watching porn, my phone for watching movies/reading ebooks, but I'd like a game-chine to get back into "gaming".

What would be the best option? I'd walk through Best Buy but they want to sell me a package because I'm a girl and they think they can squeeze a few more bucks. I'd rather build a decent desktop with the necessities.

Or being a girl, the 40 year old virgins at geeksquad would talk to you because you make them feel 'tingly' inside.

I have been to Best Buy a couple of times but I'm always looking for a salesperson...

I've only had one experience with the Geek Squad and they told me to call HP to fix it!!!

You are confusing the Geek Squad with the geeksquad which covers all the employees. I'm sure a ton of these guys can help you and I drilled Barbos with a bunch of questions when I was in the market a few years back. A price range would be nice. Are you thinking under 750? Do you need a monitor?

I bought my current one for about 750. I have a 19 inch Samsung flatscreen.

I just need a box. Nothing fancy but with the cool stuff like better gfx card, processor and more hd space.
