my actual monitor broke quite a while ago.. this is and hd widescreen lcd which i bought for back up and watching tv and shit

it all started with me buying bf2142 and getting back to back crashes i installed 7.2 drivers and it did not fix it and on top of that i could NOT play other 3d games such as WoW, BF2..but i could play old skool valve games like DoD and half life fine..

Maybe it's overheating?

im not so sure its that for one reason i play games that are more intense gfx wise..

Company of heroes on full settings except resolution up to 1280-1024

BF2 on full settings except for resolution

and bf2142 on medium-low settings with no effect and i would play those like 12 hour days off and on and such and the fan on the thing is HUGE! anyhow main point is here

ZERO PROBLEMS until i started to play bf2142\

well there is one issue.. randomly upon opening programs my screen turns black for like 2-3 seconds then resets..im not sure if its normal lol..but i doubt it

Well, the harder it has to work, the hotter it's going to get. I had the same problem with mine, but it was slightly self-induced. Heat is teh sux.

My only other guess would be the PSU. Although it should be plenty big enough with wattage, antec PSU's have alot of fluctuation in their voltage.

That would be my only guess as to why it does it when it's being stressed... either too much heat, or not enough power. You might try running some CPU only benchmarks, and some 3d benchmarks and stress your system out and see if you can isolate it to a component. Only other thing I can think of is to check your motherboard for busted capacitors.

Eh, not really... It's like saying Chevy is better than Ford. All a matter of preference.

i've always had issues with any ATI card i have ever bought. being that the drivers don't uninstall properly, or that the card runs to hot. their control panel is also a laggy abortion.
