Problem with wireless networking

Postby Trump » Sun Oct 17, 2004 7:08 am

So i try to install my linksys usb adapter. It auto detects. Installs drivers, but doesnt create a connection for it under network connections. I can even install the software for the adapter and view available networks, but no connection= no TCP/IP setttings= not working. anyone ever see this before?

BTW this is winXP
I already updated my SP to SP2
Reinstalled winsock

i might have to format though

Ive had this comp 3 years and have never had to format, everything runs fine except for this

This happened to a lot of my friends when they installed SP2.

They simply uninstalled it and it started working again.. No guarantees, but its worth a try.
