So i have a old ass soyo mobo which has served me well but its outdated and moving on up is what im planning over the course of about 2-3 months depending on what i really want

im kinda happy with my shit so here goes

i have 4xagp im runninga 9600xt moving to the 9800xt or if it serves me better the x600. But what is Pci Express? can i use it with my current mobo or do i need to do the whole thing? kt-333 Soyo Dragon Ultra

Thinkin about intel mobo and processor now and heres what im lookin at
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 464&depa=0

i realize it doesnt work with that config(i.E.) pcixpress has to go with pci xpress board but if its only like 20 bux more and its better ill go ahead and dip into dat

ill answer questions as we move along here cause i have no idea what u might ask me

like always i want the best bang for my buck

PCI express is a new bus meant to replace PCI, and AGP.

It's supposed to be faster and better and blah blah blah...

You will need a PCI Express board for a pci express video card

People have been slow to adopt PCI Express for some reason.

I've had several soyo boards.. the first few I had no problems, but they seem to become less and less reliable as new technology comes out...

I definately wouldn't recommend them
