internet help

would anyone happen to know what is wrong with my computer cause each time i try to visit a vn board i get this duumb window.

The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

HTTP 500 - Internal server error

this only happens when i try to visit a board not the actualy camelotvault.ign.com.

any suggestions?

500 error looks to be their problem. I know earlier today the forums were not responding to me for a few hours. Try it again later.

So it's still happening 2 weeks later?

What's the exact url you are trying to access? And what browser (version as well) are you using?

Firstly, for block some IGN ads, in your windows/sytem32/drivers/hosts file set:

adserver.ign.com 127.0.0.1
ads.ign.com 127.0.0.1


Next Options/Update - update your critical patches and IE first ... also make sure your running IE 6 - if not download from softie.

Lastly take McAfee free trial on virus scanner and run it.

Those are the first things I'd try imho.

and yes im running IE 6 and i use norton birus scan not mcafee

as far as the add thing u were talkin about i got no clue what to do for that since im computer illiterate

hey man =P listen i really dont know what your talkin about ... if u can possibly give me detailed instructions on how to do this i will ... if not then thats cool ill deal with it =P

anyway i went on lance today dead as usual hope u guys are havin fun =)
