I was hit by it too. I was a slacker and was without a firewall for a while, then I found all that crap on my computer somehow. Norton Anti Virus didn't catch it, for whatever reason.

I traced the source to some compromised computer at UPENN, which is kinda sad. Anyways, moral of the story, just install a personal firewall. It'll let you slack a little when it comes to installing updates. :)

I've had nearly 50 hits on the firewall from other comcast people with the worm.

Once it starts, it scans through the submask looking for other IP addresses it could infect...
