Help with spec'ing my healer.

I've gotten some different opions on this. I heard of going only to 43 with pac, but i'm not sure about aug/mend. Where points should be put. I want a well rounded healer, one that would be the most beneficial in RvR. Plopper gave me some advice, but I forgot because we were in the middle of something. So, Gundorf, Celestrial, Hyla, Valleygirl, and anyone else who has lvl'ed a healer before, all help and comments would be appreciated.

Btw, my healer is currently lvl 22 with 17 pac, 12 mend, and 8 aug. From some of the advice I have received, I'm on the right track, or at least have not ruined my char....YET!

this is my healers final desired spec
18 aug (for Cel 1...attack speed increase.. greta for grouping PvE)
33 mend (instant group heal2)
38 pac ( for instant aoe stun )

she is mostly a pac healer with powerfuly healing.. overall well rounded for pve and rvr. not much soloing action tho. ...but who needs to solo when your a healer with cel...and a healer with poc =)..tanks love you..caters love you.. you'll always find a group!

I'm 38 pac, 31 mend, 22 aug.

I think I should have placed more points into mending.

I didn't want to go high pac because I've played waaaay tooooo many CC classes and wanted to focus more on being a mend healer.

Sometimes I find it hard to find groups because some want a high aug healer (I was farming in DF and was kicked from a group because my aug wasn't high enough--I have 4th purity of attack and celerity) or high pac healer.

At lower level I would suggest to add points in pac and mend every other level and add aug when you have points left over.

im speced 38 pac, 35 mend and 15 aug. I like haveing the spread heal and I still have the insta cc. The only reason I put 15 in aug was to get the 2nd run speed which isnt much. The main thing is do u want to have pom 5. Me personally i think it is nice but It doesnt do much for healing ur tanks in battle. I have the serenity, mcl and usually by the time i am out of power twice the fight is over.

Keabit, there is no spell at 43 pac so there is no reason to stop there. I am currently aiming for 44 pac (last AE mez), 30 mend, 5 aug. Its a decent spec for RvR but u won't believe the amount of ppl in DF that will bitch at u for not having any form of Celerity. Also it takes me about a minute to kill a blue con mob and yellows are out of my league.

For a more rounded healer u might want to go MAP: 30,22,38 or 31,21,38, depending if u want the 8% body resist buff. You can also go 30,26 (cel2), 36, but u will lose the AE insta stun.

Btw bulor, isn't the 2nd insta group heal at 35 mend?

Well this is just my Spec and i Loved it. I hated total PAC cause your missing way to much from the other lines.

38 Pac for all insta

30 Mend for first spread heal

24 aug so u can gain more HP's and dmg add even though u dont need it cause u wont solo much.

This is what u call a Suicide healer Spec cause what u do on the charge is run to the enemy (with tanks) insta AOE mez then u go somewhere else that has a little battle insta AOE stun then u run back and start healing. Very fun to do if u can do it correctly. But Ill break everything down for u.

Aug: SOLO skills + MAJOR BUFFS...basically self explanitory. You get buffs to help yourself stay alive and your group. Also including group speed and attack speed buffs. These type of healers are like ceregon who has HIGH solo capabilities. So if u feel like u wanna solo then this is your spec.

Mend: Heals, insta heals. This is the group line where if u wanna support ur group go this line. This line is great for keeping your group alive without getting in the heat of battle (SPREAD HEAL). Very uber single and multi heals. examples that i know of are Rhi. I think she is full MEnd maybe im wrong. this is the spec where you get to be the hero

Pac: Insta mez + stun. Insta AOE mez+stun. Aoe mezzes +stuns, mezzes +stuns and Purity. This spec is fun but is really hard to master. you have to time it write because there is that big remez and restun timer in RvR now and also for PvE the more you stun something the more you drop down the timer so instead of 30 seconds your mez last for 15 sec. This class is the CC class with power regens. I guess if u wanna be a mezzing maching be this class. Examples gundorf.


Well there it is. Its all on ur personal prefrence. One thing that some people misconceive is this class is easy but it is ALOT of work. You are always busy, its not a laid back class.
