Well it's been a little over a month since I joined the BETA. This game has quickly gotten very old for some reason. I keep asking myself what is so new and different about it that makes it a 3rd generation game. My answer, not much. i know it's only BETA but I have been right everytime about my initial feelings about a game. I have to force myself to log in anymore.


For one, I HATE corpse runs and even with how easy they have right now to get to your corpse, it's a major pain in the ass. I just feel like I am playing EQ1.5 or something like that. The combat, at least for a warrior, seems very dull. Melee combat seems very, very underpowered right now compared to nukers. I am lucky to kill mobs 4-5 levels below me with decent gear while casters can kill mobs 2-3 levels above them. All in all combat gives me the feeling of been-there-done-that.

The crafting system is done very well if you are into that sort of thing. A lot like WoWs but only better IMO. You actually have control of the quality of the item.

SOE's involvement with this game killed it for me I think. I will never give that company another cent of my money.

Guess I will start looking at Warhammer.

I am thinking of starting up WoW again. softcore, just to kill time.

anytime i hear sony on a mmorpg i just dont even look at it anymore

they are like a wanna be EA and that is NOTHING to live up to

Thanks for the feedback, I could never generate the interest to give it a fair shake. I am enjoying WoW by accepting the game for what it is and is not.

I am also thinking of starting a new toon in wow with one of the new races, the new alliance race looks ok.

Is BWC concentrated on a server or a bit everywhere, are there still lots of people in bleeding hollow ?

Let me know, I might level a bit, but softcore also, summer is starting and I wont play that much computer.

I am just going to start a Horde mage on a non-pvp server to have some fun with. I don't find getting ganked by someone 30 levels above me fun at all. Re-installing the game as I type this.


Let's all HOPE and PRAY Warhammer is good. Honestly, with Mythic behind it I don't see how it won't be. Say what you want about Mythic, they have always had my complete faith.

This is really sad we cant find anything worth a damn to play. Please let Warhammer be a good game.

Thats disappointing that vanguard isnt that good. Hopefully they will balance the tank/mage thing before release.

My buddy got kind of bored cause he didn't find a 8man to roll with on gareth so he joined up with some RL friends on Hord/Blackhand. They are big raiders so I figured it would be nice just to log on and PVE instead of trying to make a gay ass alt in daoc. I agree with law you just have to accept what WoW is and Is NOT, it's PvE plain and simple PvP in WoW is something you do when your bored and since I'm playing WoW cause i'm BORED and have a PvP game to play already hehe..

I decided to reactivate and play with them for a little bit 35 in 2days /flex. I really hope WAR can fill the nitch were looking for but I'm a little less enthused just because it is being made by Mythic. They did a great job with daoc but in a larger MMO market honestly they are just small potatoes. WoW has what like 120 servers with 3k people on each? I think if Mythic had that kind of volume the roof would cave in.
