are in violation of the following Dark Age
of Camelot Character and Guild Naming Policies:

1. You may not use any names that violate the General Rules and Guidelines.
This includes the use of names that are hateful, defamatory, racist,
ethnically offensive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, or any other
language that is offensive in nature.


6. You may not use names that are religiously or historically significant.


11. You may not use names that contain a phrase, sentence or any fragment of
a sentence.


12. You may not use names where a combination of the first and last names
violate any of the above rules.


13. You may not use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that
violate any of the above rules.


Character and Guild Naming Policy

When creating a character or guild name for Dark Age of Camelot, it is
encouraged that you select a name that reflects the medieval time period,
and the realm that you are located in. The guidelines listed below outline
the types of names that you can NOT use, and apply to both first names and
surnames, as well as guild names.

1. You may not use any names that violate the General Rules and Guidelines.
This includes the use of names that are hateful, defamatory, racist,
ethnically offensive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, or any other
language that is offensive in nature.

2. You may not use names that are harassing or defamatory to other players
or employees of Mythic Entertainment.

3. You may not use names of any employee of Mythic Entertainment.

4. You may not use names of copyrighted or trademarked characters, materials
or products.

5. You may not use names from popular culture or media.

6. You may not use names that are religiously or historically significant.

7. You may not use proper names of areas within Dark Age of Camelot for
character names. Guild names MAY use the proper names of specific areas, to
help promote roleplaying and realm pride.

8. You may not use proper names of NPCs within Dark Age of Camelot.

9. You may not use names containing titles or ranks within them.

10. You may not use names that refer to drugs or that are drug related.

11. You may not use names that contain a phrase, sentence or any fragment of
a sentence.

12. You may not use names where a combination of the first and last names
violate any of the above rules.

13. You may not use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that
violate any of the above rules.


A copy of the policy is listed below for your reference. We sincerely
apologize, but we must ask that you please e-mail us a list of at least
five suitable alternative names to replace the character name in violation.
Please reply to this e-mail (make sure you leave the ticket number in the
subject line) within 24 hours. We will use one of your choices to replace
the character name in violation, as long as the replacement names are submitted
within 24 hours, are not duplicate names, and do not further violate the Dark
Age of Camelot Character and Guild Naming Policy. If no suitable alternative
names are provided within 24 hours, a new character name will be chosen for
you. Again, we are sorry for this inconvenience.

Wow mythic those names arent even that bad. Its the name police knocking at my door. I would just like to know who has such a pathetic life that they would /appeal violation for those names. Do you just sit at home waiting for something to complain about. I have a few tips...

And mythic for you ppl to actually care about something so miniscule is absofukenlutly retarded. You naming policy is crap. You need to worry about fixing the problems with the game and not about names that might offend someone. Jesus what is this world coming too when people can't take a litte offensive stuff. For example today at my bouncer job i was called a douchebag no less then 7 times. Did i call the police...no i just let it roll off my shoulders however those ppl were to first ones i kicked out at bar close. My god ppl get a fukin life and quit bein such a whiney fuk.

And mythic you people need to stop catering to those whiney fuks. Oh wait i forgot its mythic what a bunch of crap. If it wasn't for you having the only decent PvP system (at least in my opinion) this game would have gone by the way-side LONG ago.

Wait, are you saying that they havent fixed the damn holes in camelot that I fell in when game came out. I remember they fixed them, then they came back with SI expansion, hehe.

For the name, its their fault if they havent removed from their list.

I was a friar named Move YurAzz for a long, time, never had problem.
