From what I witnessed last night, even the up servers were unplayable either due to failure of character to enter realm (world down) or excessive delays trying to enter the realm, or immense loot lag. There was a lot of downed servers as well - they seemed to cycle about 8-10 at a time perhaps applying patches and such.

Around midnight EST it disappeared and I was finally able to login to BH.

It appears if you plan on playing before they fix the loot lag issue you need to adjust your playtimes to off hours unfortunatley. Lag cleared up right around midnight for east.

everything will be fine after a few days, just a huge surge of ppl with both the hype of release, and everyone having time off.
