@ DAOC

I'm thankful another game is coming out soon (WoW)

However, there are some things that need to be done if we completely move to WoW.

First, I would like to disband the alliance/or let the real active guilds in /as move on and if one day DAoC becomes playable again then pick up the pieces.

Second, allow members to leave for more active guilds if the chose to stick with DAoC. I'll probably still play a bit but WoW will probably be first for a while till I get sick of it.

I'll keep my characters still guilded etc. I'm tired. NF was fun for a while and now is a boring chore of taking towers, keeps etc. I like ToA but I'm bored as well. Catacombs -- I don't know about since I never ever get in pve betas (Got in Mordred, NF closed beta 2; Jeff is the slimeball that got in SI, ToA ones). I think catacombs will be the same grind as ToA. Although some friends in beta have said that the "instancing" is better than CoH and WoW.

I just feel bad for members of the guild that still play and want to be active, as well as members in /as.

If we do leave for WoW...Super is pretty excellent at posting "Goodbye notices" on VN :)

I agree.....lets not string things along for the active guilds in our /as and or the BWC members who elect to stay with Daoc. I for one am extremely bored with daoc I cant log any of my toons on for longer than 1 hour before I get bored and log off. There is nothing to do anymore.

NF is lame I miss gearing up for old emain and running around group vs group or group vs zerg. Even though it was only in emain where the most action was it at least was fun.

I made a post on our site.

I've no interest in playing WoW or EQ2, so I'm probably going to join Ravenous while you guys are gone so I can at least get an RVR group. If people decide to come back for instanced RVR, I'll come back to BWC.

I talked this over with Cele and she gave me her blessing.

In the meantime, I'm going to move Phineas from Winter Bane to BWC so I can reinvite myself if I have to.

Good luck guys. Have fun.

Which part am I supposed to be giving a shot?

The logging in nightly and not finding enough guildies that want to RVR, or the FOTM alternative MMORPG chock full of Battle.net fucktards with hastily-designed afterthought PVP?

I've been doing the former for three weeks now and it's not so fun. Pick up groups blow ass, and even they are few and far between :(

As for the latter, I just have no desire to devote the time and energy into levelling a character and learning a new game. I tried WoW during the stress test and wasn't overly impressed. I like a lot of what they did PVE wise, but I don't play MMORPG's for PVE.

I am referring to WOW and it has a PVP system that will continue to evolve as DAOC did. So come play

I agree with winke. I just can't get excited about WoW. NF does suck.... thats why I've been playing on Mordred. Atleast there you can get into decent fights fairly quickly. I'll pick up WoW and give it a shot but I'm not cancelling my DAOC account.

I only made it to lvl 23 in open beta, but I had a blast in the pvp I was a part of.

I'm not sure if there is an assist command in WoW, and I'm pretty sure theres no "stick" command so everyone seemed to be kiting ( I know I was, like a mofo) also seems like every toon out there has some kind of snare/root

I was in a couple very large battles (like 20+ vs 20+) and alot of smaller 8 v 8 type fights, with very little lag and a butt load of effects/spells going off. (I like the meteor shower spell effects)

I really think WoW PvP is going to be at least as good as Daoc. I didn't get to raid alliance towns or anything wacky like that, but I'm looking forward to it.

You can only stick to friendly units, and you have to make a macro to assist (same macro as in daoc). I know you can make macros to do a certain combo of keystrokes (like have your pet assist you and start casting) but I've never really played with it much.
