I want to nuke and kill, and be able to fight well in PVP..
First off Arcane vs. Fire?
and to what level?

Chimera (TC) and Nightsong both level PVP 60 mages have been testing various templates and have found the best hybrid PVP fast kill template.
These guys know what they're talking about - been following their posts since I started CB.
Troll through their posts they provide a lot of insight into quick killing and tactics.

My friend is going 21 arcane rest ice for the ice sheild. That way he can run into the middle of pepole with that crazy thing up absorbing dmg and insta AE pwn with arcane explosions while people are wondering wtf they can't hurt him. Then we will shield him, then let him burn mana shield or some such shit afterwards. ><

From what I read Ice spec in talents can be effective for what your saying and AE's; overall a good anti-melee/group build. I initially wanted to go Ice just to be different but now I think I'll stick with Nightsong's template for release since there is 3 60 PvP mages that are backing up his build.

I was doing basically same template as Night Song and Chim... Except after I got my Imp Mana shield, Counterspell, Imp Arcane Explosions maxed, I went to fire line to start leveling that up...
Btw Sirion, all you need is imp mana shield 2 to become melee dmg immune.. Which is basically the same thing as Ice Barrier is.. so he'll have it stacked for 1 minute?

Is a dickhead (TC) or The Cabal was an offspring of our old guild HoS and are very good players.
Chimera even though being a dick is a great pvper.
