Talked to Daminion but they are already at capacity with their dedicated TS for BF1942. He's going to get back to me with some places they checked out for hosting.

I found this place that looks reasonable/interesting. 25 slot TS is $19.95 per month and can be split by group billing between two people.

Ventrilo is MUCH better, easier to use and better quality.

Someone do the research on getting a VENT server up?

Ventrillo is so much better, should be cheaper per person as well, as it uses much less pipe. I run one on my cable modem without any issues for the jaxers for the past year or two. I've never noticed a slowdown, but never had more than 10 or so on it.

TS sucks.

Is the Ventrillo server free?

clanservers hosts ventrillo for same price as TS ... as most other sites

We're not paying for the software but more the bandwidth that we are going to chew up so don't think it will be cheaper to host it. Only way it would be cheaper if one of us already has a dedicated server where bandwidth isn't an issue in which case we can install it ourselves etc.

So funny, clanservers used to be run by a guy i played quake 3 with. (assuming its the same place, I know he hosted a network of servers for various games at the time with the same name, www.clanservers.com). ><
