having seen the stupidity of the dreds do you guys still plan on playing a pvp server in wow? if they make it like daoc your talking half the pop of a normal server with 5 times the land area to pvp in which means it will be a snorefest.

I personally think AvH will suit us much better

basically avh is RvR with just two realms.

from what i understand avh servers will be more like standard daoc with specific conflict areas while pvp servers will be more like the dreds (but still limited to attacking only opposing faction)

and only in contested or enemy areas unless attacked first. I'll most likely be on the PvP server. I'm really not sure whos all going where.

the pvp server they currently have made isnt what the end result pvp server is going to look like, nor what the avh is going to look like. i believe they said they basically did the pvp server the way they did it in order to get a feel for how pvp would work in general. im not sure if they have any specific ideas for a final outcome, but if i had to make a guess i would say that AvH would be more like the pvp server they currently have, and PvP would be an all out kill anyone you want no matter what side they are on like mordred/andred.

I can't agree or disagree with that Sirion. It's all speculation at this point. I could however see this becoming true in the future as you barely notice the PvP server as a red server under lvl 20ish. There really is very little ganking with the current rule set. Mostly zepplin camping and other contested lowbie-mid areas.

Blizzard really keeps their ears to the ground so well see what the community wants. I would love to be able to build groups around both alliance and horde races having friends that want to play both.
