Apparently the last 2 weeks there have been some incidents and disputes regarding artifacts, pve stuff with our alliance guilds. I would like to resolve them here. I'm not online much anymore so I would like to get as much information in the open and we can be one very happy family.

If you have issues with a certain guild, guild member, Albs, Hibs, whatever, lets discuss it here. Please note the date, time, what happened, and who did you talk to resolve this.

(I get 2-3 PMs a day, btw and 2 talks with 2 different guilds in game) So lets get it out in the open.

I have had 3 guildies ripped off my Desolate. One through his own stupidity(so not going to post details), and 2 had artis stolen. 1st incident was SoM. Desolate claims that they are in the zone, so they were camping it, but for some reason my guildie never saw them there until he yelled in /as that it was there. The only names he remember was loli and Metaxa(probably b/c they are high ranking in that guild). 2nd incident was for cloudsong. This time they are already engaged with the mob(with group already there, again) when desolate rolls in and kills it and takes the arti. Taintd, Loli and Metaxa there again(again, probably b/c they are high ranking in that guild). I know there was a smartass response at the end from Loli. Taintd apologized for Loli, and that is where we stand now.


This is not an attack on Desolate. There have just been some things that have repeatedly happened and need to be put out in the open. I know a few people in Desolate and have had good times with them. I have just had some complaints, and thought I should put it out there, so it can be dealt with. I know lots of people had problems with getting artis taken from them right at then. Adida, Celest, and others... So you guys know how frustrating this can be. NN is not a power gamer guild. We are casual players and have fun. So our time to do these artis is precious. Thanks for your time.

I personally don't care if some RR1 noob is camping some artifacts to sell on his consignment merchant or to even use. I remember spending countless DAYS trying to get SOM for my SB, and watching countless RR1 sb's get a uber item that was designed for use in RvR. IF they wanna PVE it up then they need to go play EQ.

If mythic won't help the poeple who get robbed then fuck em. It thier design failures in TOA and it's your job to take advantage of it. After all thats how FOTM was invenetd hahaha

I had the luxury of spending 200pp when I did my new template so I didn't rob anyone

But if I didn't have 200pp and I wanted it for PvP.... that RR1 would be crying about me to you as well celestrial

Ovbiously if I know the person getting the artifact, or just seen that he was pretty high RR I wouldn't think twice of robbing him. I would only be robbing my realm.

I hate sounding like a dick but lets face it, getting artifacts is super gay, and getting people to help you with them is even harder. If people gotta step on some noobs toes to get waht they want then so be it.

This is why I will never be a diplomat, I would choose one side that would make the most sence and call the other guy an idiot.

What difference does it make if someone is not a HC powergamer and RR5+? Some RR1 n00b might have camped the SOM as long as you and still you think you have "earned" the artifact by just farming RPs a couple of months? Geez...

People like you make Daoc not a very pleasent experience for some people. You sir, truly think you deserve automatically more than others just because you have played the game more.

If getting ppl to help you with artifacts is difficult for you, then you're in the wrong guild (or you truly are a dick and ppl don't want to help). In DB we have been doing SOM, Battler, Malice and other arties many times during the past two weeks for guildies.

i wouldnt take an arti encounter from someone who was camping it first, but it does piss me off when someone wins an arti that is a noob who will quit within a week,sell it, or never be able to activate it and make use of it cuz they cant get scrolls etc. Also pisses me off when someone wins an item and who is in a gank guild who could get it on their own

I wouldnt call myself a noob, and I'm always helping people. When the SoM incident happend to me I dont only consider it a slap in the face for myself but a slap in the face to the alliance especially those that were with me. Nothing is going to happen to anyone so I vote drop it and move on.

This isn't an alliance of alot of rules. And the last thing that Celest or I as the currently active Gm's wants to do is play parent or mediate disputes. Generally we've found that if we all treat this as a game and just have fun that we haven't needed to fix much in the alliance.

That said, for an alliance to work, we can't be screwing each other over or fighting. Jacking artifacts under someone elses nose isn't acceptable.

Please document any more incidents here. If we have a reoccuring problem, we will kick guilds, which I don't want to do. We like the guolds we have, and haven't had many issues. Hopefully this was old news or a simple misunderstanding.

pouget, I'm actually friends with a lot of guilds/people I have never had a problem helpign other people with their artifacts or had a hard time with people helping me.

I don't want to sound selfish and rude, but the way NF is designed you just "MAY" have to step on a few peoples toes to get what you want.

Think if I PvP on my one toon and need 6 artifacts... some gay level 20 is camping SOM, I'm gonna snatch that up and move on to my next artifact I need. Yes, he will be pissed but if I were wait for EVERY single person camping a encounter with a level 20 alt i would NEVER get mine.

I wouldn't ever steal from my guild or anyone I knew that played a prominant role on the server. It would just be wrong. I know that sounds stupid after what I just said in the previous post. But I do have a lot of respect for people who play the game, I do think spending 2years on this server getting to know people, helping them, and getting involved in helping the realm. DOES out-weigh someone new to the server looking to make a quick buck... etc...etc.... To me I feel I have "Earned" it more then him.
