If things don't improve on Hib Merlin like Angry Elves and other hib gank guilds won't stop picking their asses, Finbar wants to reroll on Mid Merlin and would like to join BWC. I'm putting this out as a FYI. Finbar does chat with me on AIM sometimes (most of the time I had to "claim" busy as he continues to whine about DAoC hehe), ever since he found me on my infiltrator on Pendragon and we played a bit of New Frontiers Beta . Josh and I played midgard with him on his healer. So he's a decent CCer just a bit of a whiner about class disparaties in DAoC. He's just a college kid really. So what are your thoughts? I told him to wait 2 weeks after NF comes out before he makes a decision. Also, I told he shouldn't be too stressed out

He was actually ok to group with on Pendragon. He was a strength for the realm of Hib merlin, good zerg leader I guess. I believe he is at least a reasonably good player because the hib 8man squads were willing to group him. You didn't see many of his own realm mates bashing him. He likes the same sorts of things we do - both zerging keeps and 8man.

And yes, he is a whiner on VN. But, he's not the only one who hasn't been at his best on VN.... including some of us.

I say he groups with us for a few weeks and we ask opinions of D.O.G. after. In other words he goes through the standard app process. I'd also like to see that he is gone from hib and going to stay on Mid. If he wants in BWC bad enough he'll be willing to have patience. If he's a fun guy to have around, I'd probably ok it.

He tried to get Angry Elves to boot Beyond Death from their alliance because Beyond Death stole some sort of artifact from him. (a BIG QQ imo)

He gets pressured by 8v8 gank squads to go take relics but when he does and brings his zerg to emain, hib gank squads QQ and tell him to go away, stop whoring RPs etc. Sort of a catch-22 thing.

The past few nights when hib has been kicking mid around and showing better organization and cohesiveness, I was wishing we had him instead of them. Not to lead us but to deny them a leader....

Oh well, I suppose it's good having a worthy opponent.

We've had some great people stepping up to lead - Celestrial, Bulor, Godorn. But a big problem right now is that Mid has 4 or 5 different factions that often want to do their own thing. Wyrd has been really independant, Zinxx and Drutt tend to want to lead the big zerg more and mostly concentrate on homeland, and we try to go off and be effective without dragging a big stupid ass zerg along that totally needs to be babysat.

And so mid has a number of 15-30 man forces running around that get creamed by 90 enemies.

Thats where the albs and hibs have an advantage right now... they don't have as many leaders. So in hib the whole damn realm follows Finbar.

I could be wrong, but thats my perception.

I was talking to dawgma last night. Dawgma wanted to do his own thing but then got rolled by 100 albs at Erasleigh.

I was talking to paider last night. Actually I begged TF to come help out on a keep. They were taking Eras 4 and we even help them clear albs....

Albs following Silenser (MCoC - Wicon's guild) and Hibs following Finbar. Mids follow whoever.

Its just problematic where random mids start taking over the bg.
