So we got any secret plans on release day of NF? I know we are going to need to take a couple keeps ASAP, but should we start talking strategy now? since it sounds like the release might be as soon as next week.
Personally, I think it will not be for another month, but I am BORED AS HELL here at work and it gives me something to chat about.
5.5hours to go....

I don't think release will be next week. Perhaps within the month, but I'm just speculating. At least I hope not before next week. I still have a lot of xping to do on my artifacts. Not to mention I need to get GoV.
As far as a plan for release... I'd say pick a realm we want to pick on and go with it. Perhaps with the new teleportation system we could have two CGs going, one for the offense and the second for designated defenders. IE when the hibs/albs start to hit our keeps those in the defender cg rally and port out to defend as soon as possible.
Also, should we claim a mid keep initially and take it to 10? It takes a rather long time to get to 10 I believe.

well, i was going to suggest that one or 2 groups take a tower deep into hib/ab territory to keep folks from even porting CLOSE to the defense or do the towers only determine wether you can port inside that keep?

Towers control whether or not you can port into the associated keep.
Keeps still control the 'supply' chain as stated on the Herald.
So you must have a clear supply chain to the keep you are porting to AND control of all 4 towers in order to port to it.
You know we could sit here and make a plan but all it's going to be is tentative cause soon as shit hits the fan...

You wanna wreak some havok? I got a plan for ya then. The first keep should hit is Surs or Berk (I'll have to check the war map), and here is why..
Supply Chain is defined by 3 factors. If the keep is of your home realm, you can port to it so long as you own it. Crau, Bled, and Beno (the outer island keeps) can start a Supply Chain in any realm that you attack. For example. We go to Alb and take Beno. Now all mids can port directly to Beno. From here we bypass all the other keeps and go right for Rens. Mids won't be able to teleport directly to Rens because Berk (the next in the chain) is not taken. There are multiple chain possibilities to create a supply chain, which means that the outer island keeps are not the only chain starter points.
Bolg, Surs, and Blendrake are also supply chain keeps because when you get a ticket from the dock master to Mid Coast/Alb Coast/Hib Coast they drop you off at these keeps. So if we take Surs (again I need to double check this) this gives us a staging point in the heart of the enemy. Plus this keep is much more defensible from incoming armies. If we are the first to take a keep, that is where all the action is going to be, which means that even the hibbies will come for some fun. Hibs will have to take the boats, and get plunked off the beach just in range to get their asses trebed from the shore. Albs will have to attack from the front of the keep due the insane mob aggro surrounding the keep. Plus one of the towers for this keep is the "ruins" tower. These towers are surrounded by a crazy ass maze, which make defending easy and attacking very hectic.
I'll put some more information in the main thread when I get home and get the screen shots.... although it might take longer if the Dred ruleset gets put on.
