control are cumbersome not as "fluid" as daoc felt like
level grindin is pretty decent just play some music and its not so bad at all
i relaly like how there is little downtime almost at all and battles are like 2min long at the most well c for the bigger groups
amazing how the game loses frames for me on my amd2100 pc2700ram1gig but my bro is running and 2500amd with geforce 4 ti 4400 and 512mb and he gets no frame loss at all

Well I got my Dark Elf Mage to 10 lastnight, and I do agree, at first the controls are rough getting used to, but I'm getting the hang of them and I like them. I'm actually growing accustom to the PnC movement in conjunction with keyboard movement. Hell even the assisting is cool. You can assist anything, which is badass for a mage whom has healing and nukes. Click on your fighter as he starts the fight, heal him, and while you're waiting for the cool down, hit the assist button and it switches to the mob he's fighting. Nuke the mob and by that time your heal cool down is done, hit the assist button (with the mob targetted) and it switches back to whomever he's beating on. Rinse and repeat.
But you have to pay attention to what you're targetting. Cause you can heal a mob heheh.

Camera manipulation is great too. Yes you can pan the camera around in daoc but in L2, clicking the middle mouse button whips the camera around to the opposite direction. So if you're nuking a mob and want to do a 180 and take off you hit the mouse button, take off running, and then hit the button again to whip the camera back around and watch the distance between you and the mob. Makes a mage's job of kiting so much easier.
Anyhow anyone have anything to add that they like or dislike?
