Sunday's debacle...

Formerly, I was a leader in an Alliance guild that no longer is well...part of the alliance, so way back when, someone might have cared about my thoughts, but today I'm going to give them anyhow. I believe the leaders of the guilds that are currently in the Alliance need to pass down to their guildmates the importance of leading to Raid leaders AND not spamming the /c . On Sunday, Celestrial had the the mids rollin over Hibernia like we owned the place. DC, Crim, Bolg, nGed, and daBehn were all in Mid hands. We repelled the hibs at Bolg, then DC....at that point, things broke down. Our zerg of around 100 non-anon folks was lookin very strong, but group leaders and individuals in general stopped listening to the raid leader and we got our asses handed to us while trying to take back DC from the Albs. It seemed like we had the force and the desire to get back the power relic, but if people don't listen to the raid leader, chaos insues and that leads to death and disinterest. If we want to get at least our realm's relics back, we gotta stop these breakdowns. I realize I'm not terribly vocal on the raids and whatnot, and I don't know if I really got what it takes to motivate mids, but I do know how to follow orders, especially when their coming from someone (in this case Celes) who has a proven track record of success...

anyhow, that's my .02 cents...

great thoughts Quack. I believe the current BWC leadership is more relaxed on /as spam then Super and I were early on. I still believe /as spam is gei and always will. If I want to read worthless scrip of someone elses relationship strife I'll shoot down a game of Yahoo Spades. And yes STFU and follow orders. Success will come by listening to people experianced in raid leading. If at any time you dispute something or are ready to step up into leadership send PM's. It is better to follow one mediocre person then split up ~

Please excuse my fellow guild mate for I believe there is really something wrong with him....my best guess is penis envy since he was born without one, please try to be sympathetic to him, ty.

I think we need to go back to roots then. Remember when we had /bg of only BWC and alliance. This needs to happen again. A locked bg with no ass face losers trying to take over the raid and people listening.

There is obviously going to be another /bg out there and there can be a leader only /cg that we can commincate our movements with. I think this would help alot. Give the other /bg a task and let them do it while we do our own job. I believe this would work.

But who am I anyways?? :listen:

I totally agree. I would love to see a BWC alliance only raid. Maybe invite Wyrd as well but make it clear that we will be the ones running the show. What it takes is for one of our well established leaders (gun, cele, bulor) to decide that they want to run one.

This thread is from last year. just bumped it to show that the infighting has always been around, and prolly always will be.

Managing Communication

GotW started doing this, creating guild/alliance only bg's, a couple weeks ago also. I didn't want it to be necessary but every time we joined the public bg's the same problems you are describing in this thread happened. Aside from making communications unwieldy and ultimately ineffective, it is a real displeasure to be exposed to for hours on end. It takes the fun out of the game. I tried an open version of this last week and allowed others to join, but made it very clear that I would kick anyone that misbehaved. That worked out okay, but I did have to boot a few kids and that was on a small scale bg of 35 folks. I don't think I could have kept it under control past 60 random people.

Anyway, just responding here to let you know that there are others that see this issue the same way and to let you know that I appreciate you thinking of including us. We are perfectly comfortable with following your lead if we join your bg.
