Regarding Genetical

Looks like I may have jumped the gun on this guy, I received a PM from a TingTong officer who informed me that this guy joined TT and basically used them to get SC done and never grouped with them, but used them for intel.

If he hasnt been invited to guild yet, it's probably a good idea to:

1) not invite him (respecting our alliance with TT)

or

2) REALLY REALLY make him show his shit to the guild.

I would hope that we value TT more than a single gimp...

Well Josh invited him. I don't know why.

I didn't know who he was. I will remove him when I log on.

I invited him because he posted on the boards and we said to group with us. Rhi posted to look one of us up and he did. He said he had grouped with us. When he sent me a tell I asked the other officers if anyone had any objections and there was no opinion other than to say he grouped with us the night before.

Because he had 2 good RVR classes and he said he wanted to RVR I invited him on a probationary period.

And I think Eirene saying we are inactive and that we shouldn't be inviting is crap. If you want to play elsewhere fine, but those of us that want to continue to play on Merlin should be able to have a viable guild. Most nights we can muster at best 1 group nowdays. The guild needs to restock, and we need skalds and spiritmasters.

Now if this guy is an asshole, fine, we don't need him. But I also recently had my huntress in TingTong, and I can say from experience it is a larely dead guild. Most times there is 1 or 2 people on. For someone with an RVR focus, I would bail on them too. So while I can respect you want to see what the deal is, just blindly kicking him without hearing his side of the story because "Josh jumped the gun" seems stupid to me. Whatever, I don't know the guy so I really don't care.

But I would like to know if the old school plans on letting BWC fade away. Personally, I'm looking for an RVR viable guild.

My concern is that BWC is not BWC anymore. Re-stocking with players totally unknown to what BWC stands for/expectations won't really cut it anymore. We've done the invites a few weeks ago. I think we are at our capacity for the guild. Josh, BWC is never meant to be over 100 players. Even when I do log on nowadays, there is just a different feel.

Do you know where the guild is Josh? Half is on Mordred in other guilds, Half on Alb Guin, and the rest on Merlin.

Right now, Merlin is boring for me. Log on. Check what's going on. Midgard has DF all the time, Hibs zerging in emain, and Albs fighting amongst themselves. No motivation to start anything when the Mid population is low and Midgard has relics.

Obviously you've seen Law consolidate the boards. We're pretty much inactive now.

Its up to you if you want to bail ship.

See how things work out with Josh, youre right. He may be a totally different player with BWC than he ever was in TT.

Josh invited him on a probationary basis, it's a win/win situation.

I would truly hope that BWC will continue to exist and strengthen on Merlin.

BWC hasn't been BWC without Super. To me, it will never be the same without Super. But he's moved on. Things change.

My question is what we are going to be going forward? When I see a post from a GM asking why we are even adding people to Merlin it makes me wonder. I don't have a problem with people respecting Tingtongs objections, this isn't about Janitor for me. I'm asking if it is our intention to let BWC fade.

BWC has never and will never be about one person. Super is hands down the best DAoC leader we have and for my money the best in DAoC since Itz, but the talent collection makes BWC what it is and the reason we can succeed in multiple games.

As for Merlin, we are not sponsoring anything currently until ToA comes out at which time; Super has said on many occasions we come back to Merlin. until that time you guys can debate what to do with the guild. I am very comfortable with the DAoC GM's/officers we have in place. The most important factor for choices made in gaming should involve having fun. As long as that is happening BWC is succeeding. Do what is needed for positive entertainment to manifest ~

PS...you are all fags
