Today, Fens was taken by justice, we got the keep back 10 minutes later with no difficulty whatsoever.

Justice comes back. My group chases them around the frontier and they jump us at bled, spam says 2fg.

Ok, no uber groups on, no uber people on, just whats left of Godorn's Emain group. So lets fight 2fg with 2fg, no heroics. Inc comes this group of MDoM (Danebod, another MDoM Healer, 50 pbae SM) and some others(another pbae SM as well). I get PM from Dallius saying 2fg by fens (Yes, TF owns fens again yay L10 keep) and I lead the group to hunt them.

I found them PERFECTLY at svasud crossroads by the trees, waiting to ambush the nonexistant mids. Oh boy, ambush I did. This was the screen shot parade on site Picture of the Month ambush. Here I come flying in, with 2 PBAE SMs for a 7 second win. PERFECT Insta AE Mezz, PERFECT casted AE Stun... 2 PERFECTLY AFK SMs. Hell, ALL of G2 was AFK except for the skald I lent them. I know they were afk, I waited on the road for them to do timers, not one single one of them moved.

Yes, I had 2fg of albs all in a giant circle jerk stunned and 2 pbae SM stuck to my ass with the explicit order to PBAE bomb. Instead of a 7s win, it was a 10 second LOSS. I mean TOTAL WIPE. It was downright 100% HUMILIATING and DISGUSTING. I HOPE THOSE PBAE SM DELETE Y-E-S AND MOVE GO GAHERIS.

Afterwards, I was in the CG ranting about how DISGUSTING and APPALLING thing I have ever seen. I PM Danebod and tell her to tell her group not to stick me. They cost me that fight. Then I say in cg "Go back to PVE". Danebod starts talking about how they are going to file a complaint about me, I ignore it and take my group out to kill. We killed, but it was messy.

Anyways, wtf. Am I wrong to be totally pissed off that an entire group goes afk on me then starts saying shit about it when I yell at them for being AFK? I don't know, after this, I think I totally lost all faith in leading any newbs around in the frontier anymore. I dont' know, frontier is safe, I'm going to bed pissed off and frustrated. I look forward to Danebod's total asscovering of the subject to say how I did this and that.

FOR THE RECORD: I never used any profane words which would be blocked by filter. I never made ANY personal attacks. AND I hope they all go roll on Gayheris where their PVE skill level will come in handy.

DISCUSSION TOPIC: How are you supposed to deal with situations like that?

Speaking only for myself, what I think is this:
It's a game. When I get pissed enough in a game to start chewing on people, then I need to take a break. Because something I do for fun shouldn't be so stressfull. And second, in real life I don't chew out morons and point out their deficiencies, so in game where I am anonymous I don't want to do that either.

I'm not perfect. Friday night I got grouped at the DF entrance with valkynman and his bot. It was a total mess from my perspective on how it went so as I /released and degrouped I called him a moron. Then somehow we ended up sending tells back and forth. Finally I woke up and thought wtf am I doing?!!! So I sent him a final send and apologized. I have no desire to be a jerk in game. But thats just me. Valkynman is not someone I'll group with again, but chewing his ass isn't going to turn him into a good player, it's just going to make me into an asshole.

Aens - you are a good smart player, and you do alot for our realm, but you need to take a chill pill because too much shit in game makes you angry.

my Pbae SM will always been active in any sort of AOE stun/mez sistuation.. heck i even try to pbae without them beig mezed... i die alot =(

personally ive never liked placing all my faith in 2-3 supp sms. i think the groups are generally unskilled and a very few good people just make it look much better than it really is.

its hard to ae mez all the enemies, and it hard to get them all with the stun, but its not hard to run in a pbae them all to death. the supp sms that ive generally come across are not skilled players, they are just playing a class that can really shine based on the skill of a healer in their group. as a result these more casual (usually) players tend to afk several times in the frontiers, and they just frustrate me. i think of all the groups that can be run a pbae group takes the least skill among all its players and tends to draw more noobs that think because they own in pve they will automatically own in rvr (well pickup groups can be more noob, but you get my point). thats just my opinion though.

as far as going off on people, if they are playing like nubs and you dont want them to af you, thats what you should tell them (well not the nubs part). if they follow'd me anyways just to annoy me then i would get vocal with them and embarass them in front of other people, hey, you tried to be civil once right?

I would be pissed as hell bro. I also agree with Joshll it is just a game and breaks are needed but that is inexcusable IMO.

i totally agree with this. people play this game to have fun, not to be nagged at. not everyone plays daoc to "win" (and lets be honest, pissing away over 4000 hours in this game does not make you a winner in any regard ) so learning to tolerate the goals of others in this game is important.

think of it this way - what did you think of yipee all of the times he bitched at you in emjay's groups?

now what impression do you think these people have of you?

The inability to play one's class mastefully is not neccessarily related to the inability to pay attention to what is happening on your monitor.

Again, private disputes between people is not subject to public privy and I would hope that you keep that to yourself.
