A hidden gem for the healer class

A buddy at work plays a healer on Bedevere. He was telling me about one of their tactics, and I guess I hadn't heard of it before. Some of you may know about it, some of you may dismiss it, but every healer in the game has it. Here's another tool for you to use.

AE Amnesia - 2300 range, 325 radius, 2 second cast time.
Very very long range, huge radius, and very fast cast time. Only takes 3 power, spam it for teh win.

What they do is when they run into a milefort standoff or such, the healers each target one rampart and spam ae amnesia. This completely interupts casters and archers. Not sure if it interupts heals. And the range is longer than anything out there.

Not that our healers need any suggestions, you all do quite well. Just making sure people knew about this tactic.

Nods, lulls are one of the most powerful yet underused abilities in the game. As a bard I could kill so many classes, especialy archers and casters and inf's early in daoc's life, because of them. Bards were insta cast, plus their shouts, so it was even nicer in some ways, 1v1.

It interupts all spells and archers, but doesn't set the combat timer. Very useful spell line.

Bards have the same form but its an instant ae amnesia-- called Superior Lullaby Rng: 2300 Area: 325 castable every 10 seconds...single insta amnesia is same range but every 5 seconds.

I was so mad when Healers didn't have instant amnesia. I used to use amnesia with my bard on casters so they couldn't quickcast. It still doesn't work very well in rvr combat--very buggy-- as it doesn't disrupt casting/actions all the time. You don't get messages if they resisted or if you actually disrupted their actions.

Bards use it on me alot. But since we usually fight albs I don't see this much fromthem.

Does it interupt non-targeted heals like spread heals?

Sorcerers have a castable Amnesia like Healers. Same castable time and range. It costs them a lot of power though. lvl 49 baseline amnesia is 37 power, which is why not a lot of sorcs will use the spell.

It doesn't interrupt spread heal, as far as I know. I haven't had amnesia casted on me when trying to spread heal.

aye i just found it on my healer the other night aswell.. perfect for intrupting casters.. and it has AOE.. aswell as cuases them to lose target.. great stuff.
