ive never had an issue with latency unless ur talkin the 1500ms for WoW ive played on both east and west.

i choose where its most likely we will b together and able to solo in da mean time. we dont always have to group at first anyhow its like later 30s from what i understand this is all from a guy who just hit 20 anyhow.

Also if other players make an effort to go to east coast like alot of the big game guilds. then whos to say there wont be ppl on east coast late. The whole argument would be moot if blizzard didnt add the "Location" Specific to servers.

yea tav lives central (like nebraska..i forget).
but tav will pretty much play where khaja and lubu play. i'm just gonna guess that khaj is west (since he lives in san diego), and lubu is west (because he's northern california).

yes. contre is playing west. psych is playing west. but i don't think they'll be guilded as BWC in specific, because a lot of their friends (lance people), don't know anyone in BWC, except maybe me.

they invited me to guild with them, but its not that formal for me. if you guys are on west coast, i'll stick with BWC, otherwise i'll join them. they play a little too hardcore for me, so i know i won't be able to keep up in level with them.

even though eirene might not be BWC (even though she didn't say explicitly whether she wouldn't guild with us), i think it'd be cool to have her with us still though.

i also have all my college friends on the west coast, so its looking more and more like i can't escape it.

i did talk to rhuac though.. and it seems like if your hours are like his, 5-11pm, then you wouldn't get to play during the _entire_ primetime, which is basically what he said. the problem is, west coast people wouldn't get to either.. except in people in my extreme case of working 50-60hour weeks, i would get 0 hours on east coast primetime. i don't think the opposite extreme exists in bwc though of being a crappy high schooler who gets out at 3pm eastern and sleeps by 9pm.

anyways, the choice needs to be made to suit the max # of people. if the vote is accurate like dwayne believes, then really, you do have to go east coast.

if the realistic # more like 50/50 then let super decide.

Well, I chose to go w/Jeff's clan because of the organization. They were going to play Central/West coast. Most of the east coast guys were flexible (due to their professions, ability to play on west coast during SWG and setting their work hours to conform w/gaming time). The only thing that factors now is the ping time to the servers.

About 20 of them are set on classes on release, another 10 or so still getting the game (2 of which just came back from their tour in Iraq). All they told me was roll a druid for PvP. Some bought extra copies for crafting bots. It's pretty hardcore with them. Not to mention they already set up another guild alliance w/ another 30 people from SWG.

We're just bickering about what server and times to play. We haven't even discussed what classes we're going to play, etc.

I will play Horde if we come to any decision. Other than that, we're just like "hem haw" on what we're doing. It's like we're going half-assed. Yes I will vote for West Coast/Central if we do anything at this point. Nonetheless, someone like Law or Fardomar should have been setting up what we should be doing on release, since they have been in beta the longest. Or what servers we should have played in open beta, rather than fending for ourselves. I don't know...I'm just going on.

I would like opinion from those that have been in Alpha and Beta like Law, though.

On mountain servers I get 230-350 ping, on east server im at 550-650. But Im hoping blizzard does improve things a bit before launch, I dont want this to turn into a big mess
