as for homeland defense.. when do we really need homeland defense? albs take a fort or 2 and they get pushed back by 150 mids, are you sure they need 158? homeland defense, or hibernian offense in emain, its all rvr. We decide on where to rvr depending on where the group as a whole wants to roam. Most likely, since all haste bots and 5 buffbots are in emain, why spend 15 minutes porting it back and rebuff, just to have all the hibs/albs dead by the time we're there. Homeland is NEVER in danger.

Not quite Nat. Bulor/Lieph has lead homeland a bunch of times lately where the best zerg we could gather was 30 people against 25 PBAE albs holed up in Fens or Hild. Now the cynical would say it was dumb to attack them anyway, but back 6 months ago and back we'd bring an equal number of mids out and kick their asses. Because it was the high RR players that were willing to defend. There was realm pride. Now, it's Lieph leading the charge of Vatkens.

Mid has to be down 6 keeps nowdays before a true zerg will form up. Of course the albs have done alot of farming by then, so they come back nightly and do it some more. The bad part for the realm is that as the albs have more success and the homeland oriented mids get farmed more, it raised alb morale to be on the attack and discourages those mids from coming back out again. After a while you get to the point where we are now, that homeland defense is tha tough thing to muster.

And nights, it's not like the rp's have to be better in emain. I've run with Ascendancy alot. They RVR homeland first whenever they came. Odins RVR can be good. And when things get slow, then they go to emain. BWC used to be like that. Then some of us old BWC after 5 million rp's or so on our toons took a break and you guys have carried the load of organizing RVR groups. Our point is it doesn't have to be emain only. Homeland can be good RP's too. And at the same time you can help out the realm which isn't a bad side benefit.

Unless Duane is leading, or I'm running with Ascendancy, I won't RVR in emain. I just don't enjoy it. If you guys want to run Odins groups, I'll bring Josh back out, but I really hate emain and the emain mentality. Maybe the RVR is all the same, but I like to at least pretend this game has more depth than running laps and swinging by mileforts.

Different people have different likes. I don't expect everyone to like the same thing.

I suspect alot of the reason for celest's early deaths has to do with the blue dots named: vakten vakten vakten Eienherjar vakten vakten etc. Unless its shux, rider/invader means they die first :/

if nothing matters til nf, then why is all that homeland defense needed? if homeland defense is needed and there are a lot to kill there, then of course we'd take our group there ON NEXT DEATH. but we're not going to suicide just because 2fg of albs have taken bled.

when 2fg take bled, the /as goes crazy and tries to get 50 mids to rally to take it back. come on now. i try to bring as much fun to whoever i am leading, im not going to make people suicide for 1 fort.

as for running with ascendency and postal, sure, i'd run with them too. i also even dropped their groups just to join the BWC group that dies a lot. If you gm's dont drop group, makes me wonder why i risk my fun with them to rvr with guildies also... hmm.

2 days ago i said no to a postal group because sateo wanted to rvr. So i said no to them. Rvr'd with sateo, died once, then he says forget this, i'm going to go raid. so there i am, risked my whole days fun just to rvr 1 round with guildies, and now the postal grp is full.

its not 8v8 we're doing, most of the time we're doing BWC RVR. so stop saying if we want to 8v8 then go to lance cus we're just rvr'ing with the WHOLE damned guild.

and i'd bet that if I rvr with ascendency / postal groups and didnt drop group for a bwc group, you guys would tell me to quit bwc, right? but its ok for gm's to do so.

as for cel dying a lot in guild rvr, its probably because of the realm title.. and also because bwc is a set of players with 6 alts each. everytime we rvr, they're learning something new from their new alt class. they dont stick to one class or learn their new class to its full extent of how it should be played to kick ass in rvr.

its easy to not die, just follow s6 near another mid group and we live a long time. when you join an rvr guilds group, most of their cc radar and know where to mezz, casters know where to shoot and to spread out ahead of time. that's what makes them good. i know some bwc radar, and if all 8 of the bwc did, and played the class we know how to play, we'd be just as good. i'm not telling you non radar people to get it because if you dont rvr, then you probably dont have it.

voice communication would be nice for rvr, but why run a server that is used only for 1 hour a day?

i dont mind going to odins after we die, but i'm not going to follow a defense leader around. let me guess, you guys are going to flame me on that too right? wrong. You guys join ascendency and go straight out to odins gate when mids are taking forts in jamt. you guys run the hmf amf track back and forth also. rvr is pretty much the same... either run back and forth in emain or run back and forth in odins. same shit different land, if emain is bland, then so is odins.

ventrilo is the server of choice, after using team speak a lot with lance/scourn, and using ventrilo with basicallly _EVERYONE ELSE_, ventrilo has much high sound quality and its easier to understand what people are saying, even if they have ridiculously heavy french canadian accents.

LOL Nat, it's not like the GM's are off running with other groups nightly.

I've RVR'd on my shaman 3 times in the last month or maybe two. Once with Lubuu, Once with Gun, and once in Odins with Emjay. My personal preference is anywhere but emain.

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was condemning you guys. That wasn't my intent. I'm just frustrated because the realm as a whole has been very alb like when it comes to homeland defense the last 3 months or so. We need to be down 6 keeps before the real zerg forms. I've been proud about the Mid realm domination here and just don't want to see it come to an end. I hope New Frontiers re-energizes Midgard and we can kick the crap out of the albs again.

im just going to say two things

1) i dont see bwc as being a "pve guild" the fact is we have pve'd when its been needed. people want artifacts and master levels done by NF, and i think thats how it should be. i know im trying to bust out everything i can as fast as i can as NF is close to launching. i think once its out and done with most of us will be back in RvR mode and doing it as a full time thing, the good thing about this downtime is that alot of us have used it to pl new characters, so when we happen to need say a shaman or a healer or a tank, we arent fucked like we were 3-4 months ago. hopefully people will start concentrating on playing the classes they have now in NF rather than making new ones. maybe each member should have a minimun amount of RPs earned when NF comes out. i mean shit i made 5k rps in an hour on pend with sirion and slytz so something decently low but not too low might be what we need to get people rvring activly again. most people, once they start rvring regularly again, will realize how much they miss it and will start wanting to activly doing it more and more as time goes on.

2) NOONE is ever on the bwc channel in TS. im on it right now and im the only one there. the only people that were on the other day when i got on the Ts channel were xark and adida. so if we are going to use it actively (or better yet move to vent) then lets start doing it and have people set examples by sitting in the ts channel 24/7 (which i absolutly wont do as my computer is in my room and im not listening to pst players talk to each other while im trying to sleep). ill try to remember to login whenever i get on, but if noone is ever there then im not going to bother.
