Can I request that the server NOT be citrine, I am playing VS with another group there.
Emerald or Auraxis Prime would be just fine. I love piloting reavers, have yet to try a skeeter, and am decent with a galaxy. I'll fly anything you got. I haven't even tried ground combat yet, but I'm willing to look at tank piloting. And/or AMS/ANT piloting if such backup is needed.

Im jus about to hit rank 6. Sniping was awesome yesterday. I cant even tell u how many people I dropped. Im finally getting use to flying the mosquito. I could also train in the galaxy (troop Transport) If needed. I really like sniping so would like to stay with this. I can usually drop enemy with 1-2 shots unless the wearing heavy armor and that takes more shots.

yea sniping is really fun.

what i noramlly do is empty out all the ammo from my mosquito, and load the truck up with more sniper rounds.. so instead of 40 in my bag, i have 80 total.

then another nice lil trick.. after your mosq is out of ammo, you relaly don't need it anymore.. find a nice high hill,(that you can't wlak up on) fly over it, and press alt+g to destory your airship, and dorp down safly on top of the hill, and free to snipe for the rest of the day. =)

I'd like to be a pilot. Right now I'm BR7 reaver/adv hacker, almost 8, on Emerald on the VS empire. Ironically I joined b/c I heard they were underdogs initially and now we're the bandwagon. Leveling is damn fast. Got in a good group and took 8+ bases and watched the BR fly. Name is Treleon for anyone who is playing Emerald.

Have we decided on a server/empire yet? Beryl lags like hell so I'd like to stay away from it. Citrine/Emerald would be better. I don't care which empire we join since they all have the same planes. The game is a really nice change from typical daoc stuff.

One more piece of info, posted it elsewhere but this seems to be the active topic. VS MAX are currently the best, and NC tank (vanguard) is the best in its respective area. Just wanted to add to help on the decision of where we go/who we join

TR/beryl makes sense. There has been a few threads shiffting our PS members there already so we may as well run with it. I'll get on it as soon as I get into Sacramento again.

I'm working on ground assualt, still trying to get a feel of which armour class i'm going for. I have an eye for tactics so i may use something that can keep me moving and give me an edge in battle. Lightning is a good vehicle cause that way i don't use up any necessary personnel as my cannon operators.

Something to consider if we set up 3 of our squads to be the forward attack force, 1 of our squads to be air assault, we can have 1 squad leading some serious attacks around back on most to all bases. I've noticed a trend of people tending to fight close to their home bases and working their way out from there. We can easily occupy enemy terroritory by sending all our squads the long way on any map.

This tactic has a short half-life when unified players realize it. After this fatigues we can send a small squadron around the outside and easily lay seige to any forts in the forefront.

Anyone gonna role a tank ? If we don;t have many I'll roll one of them there MAX's. Can a MAX operator also be a sniper, or a pilot?

Ehhh, yes and no. MAX is an armor, so while you are in a max suit you can't go pilot a vehicle. However, you could take both skills if you wanted, and when you respawn and go to the terminal, you could decide "i think im in the mood for flying" and choose regular armor and weapons, and then grab a ship or whatever. Then next time you die you could pick one of the MAX armor suits.

Thing is, with the MAX, none of the otehr skills really seem to compliment, as you are locked into your weapons. And I don't think you can just hop out of your suit and do something, then get back in. I haven't seen that at least yet. So no matter what you choose, with the MAX you will be deciding each time you spawn what roll you want to play.

So keeping that in mind, sure you can be both Just have to decide after each death what ya wanna do.
