how far did you guys get?
we did a mc raid on sat, and got magmadar to like 30% health, then wiped. we were good on aggro, but then he aggro'd someone else, then came into fear range, then we got fucked.
it was a painful raid to say the least... we started with 38, and got down to 32 near the end.
needless to say, the gm was pissed that people left 2 hours into the raid.
we're gonna try to finish it off tonight i think (although the raid is scheduled for 5pm... gonna have a hard time making it).
Molten Core Raid--Sat
We didn't get out of the first room. Too many sub 60s and no where near enough healers or mages. We had 3 or 4 priests and 3 or 4 mages total. We got down to pulling the bridge and then my armor broke. I think I should probably go spec some defensive talents, but in all honesty, I don't feel the need to do such if we are only going to have mediocre raid turn outs and people are going to leave after an hour or two. Anyways, we started the raid around 3:30-4:00 est, and wound up calling it quits around 5:30-6:00, so we did okay time wise, we just wiped a lot because people wouldn't listen on specific things. A good example being, everyone wanted to kill the firelord asap rather than killing the spawns as he spawned them (third pull, they aren't *supposed* to be linked (giants and spawn) but we decided to deal with it as if they were since splitting mobs acting linked is warnable or whatever). So we finally get the lord down, and on the next pull the offtank forgets to say "Died, third tank pick it up." so yeah, all my healers got obliterated from his loose giant.
It should be noted however, that these players are not "leet" guilds, they are somewhere between average and hardcore, so they have a slightly larger learning curve than most hardcore players. As such, I believe our next raid will do very well, especially if we have more mages and priests, and less warlocks and rogues (5 locks 4 rogues on this last raid).

ahh.. well, our gms were really pissed off that we didn't kill magmadar. it took 3 tries to kill lucifron. due to noob mistakes and poor execution. this was our first run, hopefully we'll do better in future runs.
we wiped once at the entrance because one of the warriors was stupid and had his back faced the wrong way (he blamed lag), then when he was knockbacked, he got knockbacked into lava, while aggroing more firelords. we wiped once on lucifron though because of me
i was jumping around trying to get LOS on my freaking group because they all had spellbombs on them i had to dispel, but i strafed too far and umm... aggro'd imps T_T
our raid make up was..
7 priests. 8 warriors. 4 rogues. 2 warlocks (we really wished we had more warlocks for more banishes). 4 mages. 3 hunters. 1 druid. 7 shaman. i'm pretty sure that was the makeup anyways. I would have preferred if we traded some shaman for more rogues... the rogue dps is essentially as good as a hunters, but with added survivability. 2 priests 1 druid 1 warrior 1 rogue left after lucifron which relaly hurt us (no more mark!! QQ).
it was something like that anyways. they really got mad at me because my priest was supposedly not uber enough (only 6400 mana double buffed.. QQ.. they said next raid i need minimum 7000 mana ,so i respeced to 5 pointsin mental strength, got some better gear in 2 strath raids on sun, so now i have 7200 mana... been tough to gear priest when i'm trying to ding 60 on my druid.. level 59 now).
i would suggest warriors, shamans, druids, priests all install RaidBar.. I would make that priority #1 if you guys haven't installed it yet.
umm.. lemme find a link:

EVERYONE MUST HAVE RAID BAR FOR YOU TO SEE THEIR HEALTH
seriously... i would even make it a point to not allow anyone without raidbar onto our future raids.
other mods i would highly highly recommmend:
CQCure... OWNS...
http://conquest.teamgbu.com/download.php?id=36
it auto targets debuffed group mates, then casts dispel/cure on them.
install it, then make a macro for /cqcure
After you install raidbar, install this:
CQMana Conserve... IT OWNS...
http://conquest.teamgbu.com/download.php?id=35
it basically auto-cancels your heal if your target fills to above 90% (configurable) health... even idiot priests should be able to perform mediocre with RaidBar/CQMC combo.. got it?
