Trapped inside a keep? Want to damage the people on the other side of a door/wall but don't have GTAE or PBAE?
Challenge someone to a duel and have them stand next to door! Then AE them! AE dot them and then cure poison on them. Woila! All attackers are dotted. All from the relative safety of the courtyard! LMAO
Excellent for lord room defenses too!
Get a couple of duels going and you can stack multiple effects. Stun, Mez, Runie spears, whatever.

Actually as an update:
The first cast/attack will automatically end the duel when the 2 people are grouped. When the duel ends, any negative effects are automatically wiped from you. So you don't even need a cure disease.
1) /duel challenge - other guy in group accepts
2) Cast AE DoT - hits enemies, but duel ends instantly since you are grouped, the DoT is removed from the target.
3) Rinse and Repeat.
All I've got to say is wow.
