San Francisco Traffic and Fun Today

Postby SuperHelix » Thu Mar 20, 2003 5:41 pm

I awake with 400 people trying to shut off the Bay Bridge outside my house at 7 am, then they block all streets into downtown.

Took me an hour and a half to get to work, normally takes 10 minutes. Read below.
Also below my office building, tons of people at Transamerica across the street chaining themselves together in metal garb.

Fun.

Same shit in Toronto albeit on a smaller scale ... thousands of unemployed beatniks clogging the main streets ... where is a fucken steam roller when you need one.

A few of us decided to retreat to a local bar realizing that attempting to make it to the highway was futile. 5 hours later I poured myself in a cab and went home.

I just got back from that mess. I love the tool that fell off the Golden Gate Bridge. The ETRADE building was a mess. You off of Market at all Super, that was a real shithole?

I think they should have used the hoses too, but that would get more publicity for those morons.
like Birmingham for the black power protests... the police handled it just the way it should have been handled.

i would have put orlando a little higher than 9 because there are only 2 major highways one being a toll road. Not only that 90% of the traffic is tourists from out of the country so you got people that don't know what the hell they are doing or going. At least the other cities listed before orlando the traffic can move and people know where they are going and doing.
