Who has an Xbox 360?

Postby SuperHelix » Wed Dec 06, 2006 7:54 pm

Hey fellow folks,

Got a XBOX 360 and a ton of games through Craigslist.

All the sports games are unreal.

Playing NCAA Football 07 currently, waiting for 07 College BBall in Jan.

Also playing Gears of War, Halo 2, and Battefield Earth online.

Need for Speed Carbon is nice..

Let me know if anyone wants to play a game or two, or join a league/clan with me.

I have one, however, I'm having hardware problems galore. SH, does yours ever lock up? Mine (since Christmas) has locked up about 10+ times after about 4 hours of play...

How is the Intercooler working for you guys? I've heard pretty negative things about it thus far. It seems that after hours of use, it will melt and destroy your 360. I don't believe everything I read, but this does make me a little concerned. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this...

P.S. Thanks for the advice guys...really appreciate it.

according to the internets, the intercooler actually does not help that much because it takes more power from the 360 to run (creating more heat) and can short out, meanwhile the heat difference the fans actually make is very low

Yeah, I've heard that as well. Has anyone out there considered using a laptop cooling pad? There are several different designs, I know, but surely there's one out there with the right type of fan(s) and air flow. I'm going to search for one today, so If I find a good one, I'll pass it along...

I have a 360 although I rarely play it and dont play online. It broke on me once wouldnt boot up at all. I was so pissed for a while until I called to find out how much it would cost for repairs. I knew the warranty expired and was thinking it would be alot. They let me know my warrantly was extended a year because of all the problems they have been having with the models. They never widely said this though hence me not knowing. Anyways I was like 10days from it expiring and got it repaired for free. At that time I purchased a 2 year warranty for it for 60 bucks. Microsoft pisses me off.

Is gears of war worth buying?
Liader Ventura 49 level Cleric Holy Rollers Lamorak
Liader Ventura 50 level Skald BWC RR9 now
Sateo Corleone 50 level Shaman still a bot
Savaneh 50 level Spiritmaster
Akazuken on many servers just pimp on one.
Lets have a sexy party!!!

Gears of War is a must for the 360. Everything that means something in a action game just comes together wonderfully in the game; not to mentiono that the co-op mode is great for playing with a friend.

Aside from Oblivion and G.R.A.W, Gears of War is probably the best game for the 360.
