This is just one of those things where you are ready to take on the world in a flood on rage, hate, anger, depair, annoyance and so on.

In roughly 36 hours i am suppose to leave Copenhagen International Airport for a 13 hour flight to Aruba in the Carribean Sea. But, due to some ASSHAT on the guard watch getting pulled over by the cops with a D.U.A comming for his ass, i am now part of the guard duty team til friday evening, but wait theres more shit to fly!.

I leave Saturday 7:30am from CPH Int. Airport.
I will get dismissed at 9:00pm friday night.
I takes me 5 hours with train from barracks to where i live.
I've yet to wash and pack my stuff
I've just been on regional manouvers where i've been kept awake for over 28 hours and with only 5 hours sleep under the belt i doubt i'll last long.

But theres even MORE shit comming....

I payed roughtly 10.567kr(/6.5 = $) for the journey, if i cancel now i wil forfit the money due to an 48 before flight policy. Barracks won't pay me a refund due to their policy of "you can't get a refund exciting the amount of 2000kr"...

So, i am screwed over has a person possibly can be right now, and what more, is that might get reported for kicking a bucket of water around shortly after i recieved the news of me being added to the guard team.
If i do get reported, i will face a bunk duty, basicly an extra duty day has punishment....

Sounds like he is in some sort of military type job if so he cant just "quit" his job. Can go AWOL and deal with punishments later but that sucks. Basically rule of thumb when taking vacation in the military.

1. Never commit to anything you cant get a refund on.
2. When you go on vacation dont carry a pager/cell phone or dont give them those numbers. (FYI dont give your friends in the military those numbers cause they will give them up to your bosses as well)
3. DONT ANSWER YOUR PHONE IF IT SAYS GOV/MIL UNKNOWN. I always used to take vacation and since I was a dispatcher we were always shorthanded so when I went on vacation even just at my house I would say i was down at my mother in laws house 2hours away. The phone would ring at my house and I would let the answering machine pick it up if it was work I wouldnt answer or respond to it.

There was one time where I actually called in to work and was actually at my mother in laws house. I responded to work 2 hours away that day was...Sept 11, 2001

Seven hit the nail on the head. I am in the military, of sorts. My job tho is sorta like FEMA, (Federal Emergency Management Agency), but this is just the danish version of it. Funny enough it is called DEMA (Danish jadadada you get the picture).

According to my mother, they have already tried to phone me back to denmark once already, forest fire.... right, like im gonna spend 24 fucking hours flying back to denmark to fight a forest fire that'll take 12 hours to put out....sheesh.

Anyhoot. My cellphone *fell* out of the plane on the way over so it won't get answered unless it is a special person that calls(in the event that denmark suffers a terrorist bombing or chemical shit storm ect....)

Ah the joy of being so far away from home...ahhh.....<relaxes has hes getting a swedish massage by a hawt!! piece of american culture

Sounds like DEMA actually gets shit done. I think if you were part of FEMA, you would have been promoted and given a staunch raise at your show of raw emotion. Flown directly to Aruba on a C-130 that was meant to drop supplies in Louisiana. Meanwhile. New Orleans still rots!
