I just finished up 'Naked Lunch' and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoyed 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'. I know Mourningblade would love this book. Burroughs is completely unchained and I was blown away by the fact this book was written in the 50's. One of the best Christmas gifts I received this year.

There's a fine line between brilliant artist on drugs, and guy on drugs writting complete nonsense. I find Burroughs is sometimes the former, but frequently the latter, at least by my opinion.

I found him to be surprisedly precise in Naked Lunch. This guy doesn't tip toe across many ethical lines, he flies over them Jesse Owens style. I would not advocate his lifestyle, but found his content amusing. It's also easy to breeze through for light readers. I did hear that only a few works from Burroughs are worth reading though for the reason you brought up Augo.
