how come you sent me that executable Lockx.exe warm on AIM? as soon as I executed it TRUSTING your ass it targeted my friends list, which is mostly BWC. The message came across something like "how do I look?" i thought you were sending me a link to a picture of something you wanted me to check out. To any BWC that recieved the worm I am very sorry, IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL (thanks asshole Dwayne) and my fucking Norton didnt catch it. Anyway quick fix is go to taskmanager and remove it from your startup. If you did get it PM me and I'll send you the instructions for removing it, it's actually very easy.

I got the link from Winke as well, but opened it from D. Had I read through all my AIM away messages I wouldve gotten to Winkes warning not to open it.

Click Start > Run
Type taskmgr
Then Click OK

Click on the Processes tab.
Find lockx.exe, click on it, then click End Process.

Close Task Manager.

Click Start > Run.
Type regedit
Then click OK.

Navigate to the keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

For each key, in the right pane, delete the value:
"stratas"="lockx.exe"

Delete the following files (you should only have one of the two)
C:\WINDOWS\lockx.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\lockx.exe

Note, you will have to have all files (and system files) viewable to see the files. For instructions on how to do this, click here
