I'm a Canuck too but do not share the moderate view that it seems many Canadians have. The UN is a farce. A bunch of crats sitting around the table hoping to perpetuate that "sitting" for another 10-20 years until they retire. Don't believe me watch some of the proceedings.

1. Sadam is a wild card.
Sadam is a wild-card and would co-operate with Al-Queda if he had a chance (may have already done so according to US) along with causing other chaos in the middle east; just look at what he did back in 1991.

Looking forward it makes sense to remove him now while there are no other issues on the table.

2. Weapon development/caches.
Based on UN 99 reports (which are probably tip of the iceberg) there are many stores of un-accounted items. What is the likely hood that UN inspectors will find hidden caches of arms? Bottom line is you cannot trust a rogue nation like Iraq to willfully disarm imho. Searching for arms is like literally searching for a needle in a haystack.

Also interestingly I had an Iraqi taxi driver the other week (Toronto) and posed the question to him. He quickly replied that the sooner Sadam is gone the better it will be for his relatives there. The war may be about economic/political control but also in the end hope that these people will have a better lifestyle :)

Its all about your re-election campaign.

You see, here are three (3) things to keep in mind when aiming for that 100% support:
1. Print ballets with only yr. name on them. This way it will be easier for those that cant read or have problems seeing to pick yr. name instead of yr. opp.
2. Who needs private voting? Watch to make sure that they make no mistake. If someone votes wrong, inform them of their mistake and offer them another ballet.
3. Increase voter turnout via armed escorts. Two large brutes with Ak47s should do the trick. Just have them visable and aviable to show anyone the direction of the nearest polling station.

I mean, why waste millions of dollars on campaigns?

Here is some quality war strategy by Saddam. It is old news but I wanted to bump the topic with everything heating up. Maybe if we dress our Norse like Britons...?
