Should we start next year's draft now


In all seriousness tho...since a live draft will probably be difficult lets be sure to do either an email draft or a forum draft

Yes. As long as we set a date for it, I'm up for it.

This one was just hacked together. Not enough time was spent to set it up. Mostly cus the season started 2 weeks before the draft.

I say this for one reason.

You dont know what is going to happen between now and the start of next year that is why drafting even in preseason is risky. I mean look at Ricky Williams huge example of this. You can take him #1 round and then his pot smoking ass quits on you its a waste of a pick and your team will hurt for it.

Geez I mean you dont even know if some players are going to be around...i.e. Vinny Testaverde.

I say we draft a couple of weeks before the season starts and do it via the yahoo draft thing. Set a date like a month or two in advance so everyone knows when its going to happen and they can plan in advance to be there.

2 months is plenty of time to plan in advance to be there and if you cant then prerank your team and leave it on auto and at that point its up to you if your team sucks not the computer.

Hell I preranked my draft and won the league so dont blame it on that (phill).

Also another thing to keep people interested and stay in it in the long run is money...yes I said MONEY.

Even if we start off low like 20 bucks per team that would be cool.

Ill take the collections via check or paypal then divvy the money at the end I figure if we have 12 teams then.

1st gets 180.00
second gets 40.00
and third gets 20.00

now thats not that bad.

No problem with that much notice. That should be enough time ahead, to set up a live draft.
