ya gotta makesure CS is up, and prior to that getting the quest, then killing the purple mobs for items =(

Nilbert: dont be sad sweety, Im not leaving the guild and look forward to playing new games with you all. My lust for DAoC has diminished and as much as I try to log in, get grouped and hopefully rekindle that lust it just doesnt seem to happen.
Figure I can always re-open my account in the future if need be.
Is there a time limit in which one has to do that? I mean lets say in six months I wanted to give the game a whirl again, would I be able to?

According to Mythic, they have never had to delete any characters on any accounts, and if something like that was going to happen, they would first warn everyone via the herald. I would say I'm sad to see you leave DAoC but I'm glad someone else has finally seen the light... besides everyone will be able to play open beta for WoW in maybe a week or two... I'm sure I'll see ALL of you guys there.

All beta characters will be wiped. Open beta should start soon, they will be having signups at www.worldofwarcraft.com Everyone that signs up will get in afaik, they are just doing it this way so they know all of their beta testers and how to get in contact with them.

is there a deadline to sign up? i did the stress test and wasnt too interested in the game so i dont think im interested in signing up right away.
